Nice video, I'm Syrian Jew, my family is still in Damascus and will never leave, I left Syria in 2006 to Qatar then Kuwait then Dubai, moved to the US in 2014 and since 2014 I haven't been to Damascus, but soon I will be able to...in Syria, we don't ask "what is your religion?", we feel embarrassed because we grew up on being one nation, Syrians, this is how we grew up..I love my country, Syria

After the Syrian regime blamed ALL jews for Israel, despite the community's loyalty & murdered and committed violence and drove the Syrian Jews out?! After the regime's persecution of the Jews and political opponents and da'esh thugs murdering minorities, you can't ask Jewish people to put themselves and their families in danger.

Its my understanding that many Egyptian jews can trace their ancestry back to Syria as well. For example: Maybe a young persons grandparents were born in Egypt but a generation or two before that they were in Aleppo or Damascus.Why not include them as well and not just Syrian and Lebanese? Or are they just called Syrian jews as well?

Joshua Ades I'm a little uncomfortable of how they show two Syrian Jews speaking of being jailed in Syria. Maybe the 2 gentlemen were jailed , but never mentioned why. Also, life in Syria was good for us Jews. The government allowed us our religious freedom and the Syrian people were very supportive. Speaking for myself and my family members , Syria was a wonderful country to live in. BTW, there were close to seven thousand Jews left in Syria in the 90's. We didn't want to leave Syria, we were offered a lot of money (back then) to leave. Syria will always be home to our community. That is why we still identify as "Syrian Jews" ...We are not Israelis we are still Syrian Jews, just like Syrian Christians.
