I commented this to the same comment above and I will paste it here. These people did not seem to be terrorizing people there. They were just there celebrating to get back to their home city after being expelled by Iran and Hezbollah militias. My family lives there and they did not do any harm to anyone. Even minorities are happy. The government would do much harm to people when they capture any area. My only problem with the rebels is that they are only Islamists, but they are also moderate Islamists and not they have been trying to distance themselves from Al-Qaeda.

For those who want context/are unfamiliar with the Syrian civil war - this faction is a mix of fundamentalist and (to a lesser extent) secular groups; with sizeable cross-pollination of (ex/) Al-Q and IS members. This particular group has direct funding from Turkey (therefore implicit approval/indirect funding from the US). _(The US is also funding other groups which are in conflict with this + adjacent groups. ‘Loyalties’ are constantly changing, don’t worry if it doesn’t make a great deal of sense)._ Many countries are trying to piece apart the one in question, and you’ll be hard pressed finding a ‘good guy’ if you tend to operate on easy ‘good/bad’ dynamics when it comes to conflicts. If that is the case, I’d suggest sitting this one out. All these groups will _very_ nearly always be bad for the Syrian civilian population, and there is no easy solution for this country. Best of luck to the Syrians out there.

well i am confused.. it is rebel or ISIS? who are who? whats the difference? why there are so many factions always? there are people dying right and left by bombing and they are still fighting among themselves? this doesn't surprise me anymore as this is one of the reasons nobody was helping the palestinians and lebanese people. they were just thinking about themselves and fighting among themselves and in the mean time the other party or israel got superior weapons and air supremacy. sometimes i felt like god left this middle east place a long time ago.
