Watch live as Syrians in Turkey celebrate today (8 December) after rebel forces take control of Damascus
The Syrian government of Bashar al-Assad has fallen, bringing a stunning end to his family’s 50-year reign following a lightning offensive by Islamist rebels.
A plane carrying Assad left Damascus on Sunday morning as rebel fighters entered the capital, and two officials told Reuters he had fled the country.

These are Sunni refugees who want to see the HTS leadership come to power because they've been living in a petri-dish of Western ideas. And have been deprived of seeing the current state of their homeland in syria. Those who lived in Syria under ISIS understand the kind of conditions they're in for and many are already fleeing what seems to be a continuation of the civil war. But as HTS forces encroach on Damascus, what will Russia do? What will Iran do? Will they let syria fall to Western puppeteers? Check out the Grayzone for more info on this friend, they also debunk the syrian dirty war and the chemical attacks. Ect.
@senmors4826
@senmors4826 3 күн бұрын
@@ablackknight2744 Actually, the idea that women have 'lost all their rights' under the Taliban is a bit exaggerated. While there are definitely restrictions in place, especially on education and certain jobs, women still participate in family life, local economies, and healthcare. It’s not black and white, and painting it as 'all rights lost' oversimplifies a lot. But Afghanistan is recovering from war so give them some time. But generally in Syria many are celebrating that Assad is gone, pretty obvious observation.

Damascus will be totally destroyed? Isaiah 17 begins with a stark declaration: “Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city and it will be a ruinous heap” (Isaiah 17:1). This verse indicates that Damascus will undergo complete destruction, rendering it uninhabitable. Amir Tsarfati, a contemporary commentator on biblical prophecies, posits that the destruction of Damascus as described in Isaiah 17 could serve as a catalyst for the events described in Ezekiel 38. This chapter discusses a coalition of nations coming against Israel, which some interpret as part of a larger prophetic narrative concerning the last days. Tsarfati suggests that once Damascus is destroyed, it may ignite regional tensions leading to broader conflicts involving Israel.

The oppositions of Assad consists of US, Israeli and Turkish backed "moderate" Sunnis and some Kurds. One of them is literally a local spin-off from Al-Qaeda, the HSR or something like that. Turks are not descendant of Phonecians and Turkic-Arabic people are totally different from each other. How you could you see them as same? That's like saying the English and Danish are same people lol

Deuteronomy 28:68 [68]And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you. Deuteronomy 30:2-3 [2]And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; Deuteronomy 30:2-3,7 [2]And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; [7]And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee. Deuteronomy 32:17 [17]They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.

A gentle reminder that while the death of the Assad regime is largely a net positive (from the perspective of a liberal US citizen), HTS and other involved groups remain designated as terrorist organizations by the United States and others. I am genuinely glad that the suffering Assad imposed on the Syrian people is over and this victory for the people is worth celebrating for sure, I am however still worried about the future as a new governing body is chosen. HTS has stated that they may dissolve upon achieving victory, time will tell if this happens or not. Whatever the case, I hope for the absolute best case scenario for all of the innocent and (hopefully now) free Syrians. I will never buy into the negativity and the "forever wars" argument often heard by Americans, there HAS to be a better secure future for Syria.

We spent 20 years in Vietnam another 20 years in Afghanistan and Iraq. So much blood and treasure for nothing so many wounded vets coming back that will forever be on disability so many vets with PTSD who are so screwed up in the head that they'll struggle be normal. Think about that when you talk about forever wars not to mention the cost of having an overseas war of little or no benefit would fund: drug and alcohol rehab centers in every state, build the best school system imaginable, protect the environment and many other worthy causes that don't kill people. The only reason the United States should ever engage in war is if we are attacked or someone in NATO is attacked. That's it!!
