I've never watched a film that's filled me with so many emotions at one time than System Crasher has, from the powerful and emotional acting from both Helena & Albrecht and from everyone else. And never has a film made me have to stop for a moment and take a lap round my room then come back and continue it. I've watched this like 3-4 times now and is currently my #1 favourite film of all time. To me, it never felt like a film. It felt like it was actually happening, like they weren't acting if that makes sense.

Outstanding performance from Helena Zengel as Benni, you will not see a better performance this year and should get an Oscar nomination. Albrecht Schuch deserves a mention too, very good subtle acting and able to act with his eyes and say a thousand words without speaking. Very good film, 9/10

Just watched "News of the World," where Helena totally holds her own costarring with Tom Hanks (appearing in his first Western ever). Powerful and moving. This girl is definitely going places.

When we become parents one thing becomes clear, that you want your children to feel safe. This film deserves an oscar

I think this movie should be required viewing for anybody interested in fostering or adopting. It's a heartbreaking reminder on how some people's trauma can be so impenetrable that even one's best intentions aren't enough... but at the same time, your efforts can still go to good use by creating happy memories and providing an occasional sense of safety and comfort.

Very important topic and hard to make a movie like this. It turned out to be a brilliant movie with, leaded by an absolutely outstanding perfromance by this little girl. Omg, she blew me away.

I think this is a brilliant film. *Spoilers* One thing to add to Mark’s review - Society was really to be blamed for a lot of went wrong with Benni. Starting with the Mother unable to get proper help. The Caregivers really can do only so much to help with the what they got. Then after everything their last “solution” is to ship her off to Kenya.

Literally just watched it twice in a row, after having it bookmarked in my notes for several months. Only knew the rought context, nothing else. I loved the whole cast, particularly the unbelievably authentic display by the main role. Really makes you cry, smile, and/or left speechless. #SPOILER: I literally held my breath, when the baby was about to touch her face. I was like: OMG!!! Please stay calm, please stay calm, don't hurt the baby, don' hurt the baby. Please, don't have the traumata take over... T____T

It was such a hopeful, heartbreaking moment. The viewer sees just how close she was to making a breakthrough... but the characters don't.
