How did you mount your bedroom alarms on your steel shelving unit?

The unit has holes one each beam for mounting the shelves at different heights. I just stuck a nut and bolt through the mounting holes in the back of the backbox, through the holes for mounting the shelves, and hung the backbox.

I'm here because YT recommended videos are weird lol. But what purpose does 2 stage serve? The alarms making those small sounds before actually going off?

I'm not the most knowledgeable on the subject, so I might be wrong here. I believe it's supposed to act as a way to verify that the alarm is valid. When first stage is active, a person who monitors the system goes to the call point to see if there's actually a fire. If there isn't, then there's not cause for concern and the system is reset before stage 2 activates. If there is a real emergency, they can actuate stage 2 manually by various means. If I'm wrong about this, someone can feel free to very condescendingly correct me in a reply.
