That new house is sick. I've always wanted to live in a nice place surrounded by woods and few neighbors, and it seems you have found that. It may seem dirty now, but I know for a fact this house has a lot of potential. As for the system, if you're skilled enough, all of the equipment could probably be mounted inside the wall, and it would just kind of look better and more uniform. Not sure what kind of effect it would have on the versatility of the system though, since the alarms and pull stations are getting switched out constantly unlike a system in an actual public building, but it's the thought that counts, right?

It's honestly really, really nice. Sitting outside at night where it's silent, except for the sounds of the animals, I cannot get enough of it. That, and there's also less light pollution so the night sky is beautiful. But, I agree! I've always seen the potential in this house, and I'm excited to do whatever I can to help it live up to that potential! I've thought a lot about mounting things flush against the wall, buuut I just don't think it'd work for the system, nor for the structural integrity of the wall. I think what I'm going to end up doing is surface mounts with conduit, seems like the plan that'll balance everything out; though perhaps the wiring can go into the wall while the boxes stay the wall, I'll have to see xD

Wow he's back. I love the new house, that style of open ceiling cabin is one of my favorite styles. It also opens up for a lot of possibilities of device location. The 9833 you have sounds a lot like mine it just needs some tuning to get it to work better. Trust me mine sounded the same way. Also if you have a discord let me know we have a server full of people who are fans of yours including vintage vibratone. Finally in those other buildings you maby should invest in getting a real panel and making like a more professional type system with sync and maby addressable. That way you could have your classic old systems and a actual panel system. Idk it's up to you. I'm just glad that one of my favorite fire alarm KZbinrs has posted again finally

Man I’d love to live in a house like this. Surrounded by woods with almost no neighbors, a pond or lake nearby to enjoy some fishing and an abundance of nature to bring me peace. Of course the house would have a fire alarm system and a security system. Heck, I’d even mount a tornado siren in the roof!

You should use a simplex 4030 in the next system test. Keep the 9241 in its place. Put a wheelock AS 2415-75 in your room and put a system sensor ma/ss 24 M in the office then last be not least, put a Gentex commander 3 where the 9838 was also put a wheelock MT 24 LSM where the 9219 was

I don't really know how I'd do a tutorial, but there are a number of them on KZbin. Essentially a pull station is just a switch, and a notification appliance is what it activates. It's been rough, but we all manage and keep moving forward as best we can! I'm glad I can give a sense of community, that's easily my favorite thing about the internet in general; it's very easy to feel alone in the world, but seeing that there's other people out there like the rest of us that like weird, loud things is very comforting.
