I think the trinity is essential to the gospel, simply by understanding that Only God himself could make a perfect offering, in the crucifixion and in that manner it is absolutely on the same level as the gospel

I would say the basic acceptance of all three persons being God is necessary for salvation. I don’t think it is about being able to articulate a perfect expression of the trinity but a belief in the total holiness of each person of the trinity and their unity. How can you believe Jesus is who He is while denying the Father? How can you be a temple of the Holy Spirit but deny He is the very presence of God? I just can’t see that being a possibility, to deny part of God is to deny all of Him.

I believe in the trinity. But it's not a sin to not believe in the Trinity. We're human. Jesus judges the heart. Not how smart we are or our wisdom. And every scripture in the Old testament you are referring to is Jesus. God said nothing was made without Jesus. That's the us it refers to. God and Jesus say to love your God with all your heart and saw your mind and love your neighbor as yourself. . Doctrine is a denominational thing.
