the bts thing was weird because they played her music in lives multiple times and def knew who she was but she kinda painted it out like they were stuck up (or worse) so some of her fans got really racist towards bts (even accused THEM of racism) and made twitter spaces to trash talk them and more, pissing armys off and setting off a chain reaction. it was just such a dumb situation and dumb thing to say when there's video footage of them acting the opposite of what she said😭 not to mention, they don't know english very well (and rm, the only member fluent in english, wasn't there) and they were at a concert anyway so it's not like they were going to chat up a storm with her or anything for very understandable reasons...

Okay. I think this wouldn't have blown up as much if not for the fact that SZA already set bts up for racist and homophobic hate earlier this year and if her fans didn't start sending hate to bts. She was already in army's "blacklist" but ppl just mainly ignored her. So when she posted first it wasn't even an issue. What she posted made it sound like they were dismissive or didn't care to interact with her and most armys were like "wait that doesn't sound right" cause BTS are known to be generally nice to everyone they meet with, including their staff even if they don't understand the language. Also at least one of the members she met there knows her. So ppl kept asking questions cause they thought it was a misunderstanding created maybe by the language barrier. But SZA fans started being racist to BTS and claiming that they were being racist to her when that didn't even make sense cause Lizzo is also black and there were multiple pics and videos of them talking together. Then some others created set up accounts to be racist to SZA. And then people started accusing armys of being racist to SZA and were being even more nasty to BTS even though it was clear that they were set up accounts. And armys don't ever take hate to BTS lying down. So they responded. Then Lizzo came in with i can confirm this and included the leaveszaalaone hashtag which is why armys responded with leavebtsalone. Someone then posted the video of SZA and Tae hugging. And then Taehyung posted a video and tagged Lizzo AND SZA showing that he did infact know who she was and cared enough to tag her. And it all devolved into this mess. I maintain that if SZA didn't know what to say she should have just not replied. It would have been better.

I think for Sza to expect the same kind of relationship with BTS as Lizzo who has a definite history with BTS based on where she perceives herself to be in the music industry presumes a lot. The setting was quite noisy, the particular BTS members there have broken English at best, and one liking a SZA song does not mean that one is connecting song and singer. Lizzo was who they knew and liked coming into the situation, so Lizzo was who they were comfortable with. It is rare for BTS members to interact with nonfamiliar people during casual times. There should have been an agreement in place BEFORE putting all of that money out for SZA. I understand that creators such as photographers get excited to work with an artist but they need to know their OWN worth. He shouldn't have done ANYHING without a contract. Ok so I've broken my ankle, tore my ligaments really bad and that was worse than the actual break. I tore my Achilles on my foot. Because it was a break, she would've been in pain but it was probably tolerable. But after standing on it it probably was difficult for her to walk on it. Even though it seems weird HOW she broke it, as someone who's clumsy af, anything is possible. I don't think that was a lie. I do think she sounds somewhat of a diva. I don't think she's even remotely all that to act that way. Granted no one should act that way but she's doing too much. She's a fucking Scorpio though so there's THAT.

Personally I think she didn’t want the pictures out because it was the first professional shoot after she got extreme work done on her face, and because in the pics she’s thin you can really see the facial surgeries on her jaw and chin. Now that she’s thicker she looks more natural… my personal opinion from a trans girl who’s had a lot of face work done. Eyebrows, jawline, chin, nose, eye lift. She looks like a lot of post op trans girls in those pictures she hates so much. It’s the blue bikini photos clear as day how different she looks.

Is it too simplistic to say Don't do work without a complete understanding and a contract? Edit: BTS will hug you because when in Rome... clearly culturally it is uncomfortable for them to do this. You can see the difference between earlier in their career with American celebs to now. Btw BTS delves into all types of music deeply especially after a few mishaps early in their careers. To be honest I have been injured before and it was surprising how much better it felt in a heel.
