Malaysia needs to do more to protect investors including minority shareholders. 1MDB, Serba Dinamik, Sapura are few examples of corporate governance failures that have tarnished Malaysia's image. It takes time to recover if at all while billions of investment funds flow into to our neighbouring countries the like of Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, The Phillipines, Singapore. It is not enough to have the physical infrastructure but sound legal framework if we want to compete with those countries. Not enough selling Islamic banking, and the same time corporate scandals and failures involved few figures who unfortunately are " muslims" . How can investors trust us ?

@@ayahpinkofficial2769 ok sambei ! Islamic Finance is a huge industry multi billion even multi trillion industry . Did I ever mention in my comment commenting about Islamic finance is a mickey mouse industry ? 1MDB , Sapura, Serba Dinamik at some points may have issued sukuk or Islamic loans as instruments to finance their business. Now, those are example of corporate governance failures , I m curious if enough due diligence being done to protect the investors ? From what I understand, Islamic financing is more stringent in requirements as part of the risks management, that differentiate between conventional bonds, loans financing. I also read recently in UAE newspapers, that investors from middle east would put their funds in the USA and Europe ? Next question .. why not Malaysia and from what I read, it boils down to two things- trust & protection. My points, these are the two things that Malaysia need to really work harder to be the champion of Islamic financing, to be ahead and beat Dubai. I would like to see, KUL to be centre of arbitration for Islamic finance industry, and compete with Singapore, Dubai or even London ! Trust, Confidence to the regulatory framework is the key to success for TRX to be ahead of the game, otherwise just another Canary Wharf or HK Financial Centre .

Orang cakap projek ni makan duit rakyat tapi kalau tgok balik project ni banyak beri mannfaat pada rakyat, kwan aku pun dh start kerja dgn HSBC dekat bangunan baru tu.
