Hey szin, This is something I have never done before, so forgive me if I speak for too long on not important matters. (Also sorry for my English, as it's not my first language :D) I don't know if you - or anyone, honestly - will ever read what I'm talking about here, but it's not what I'm trying to reach here. I'm trying to get something off of my chest. Still, if you read it, thank you. As of writing this message, I'm 14 y/o. Back in 2017 I was 7/8. I was going to a school pretty far away from my house, so I went there by car. Sometimes my sister would pick me up and drive me home. As we were driving, she would turn on some music so it wouldn't be just silence. And the music that was playing? Hamilton. More specifically, Hamilton with your animatics. And I just wanted to say that it's one of the happiest memories of my life. Just riding with my sister home, her singing Hamilton and me watching your animatics. And even though I gradually forgot about Hamilton as time went on, your animatics stayed in my memory. Fast forward to 2024 and suddenly my sister reminds me about Hamilton. First thing I remember? Your animatics. So I go and look them up. And boy, did I feel nostalgic about them and the music itself. I don't know if you knew that some little kiddo with autism back in Poland would feel nostalgic about your work - after all, it's only about 7 years - but I surely did. So I've talked about my past, but that's not what I wanted to leave you with. What I wished to say could be compressed to two single words - thank you. For all the happy memories you left me with. For sparking my love for Hamilton and music overall. For bringing nostalgia and tears of joy to my heart. And finally - for making my (and my sister's) life happier. His tailoring business prospered and he lived to 84, dying in 1820. Probably the happiest ending of these four. Lafayette went back to France and was involved with both the 1789 and 1830 revolutions there, though both times he became rather disillusioned with how they turned out. In the latter he was initially supportive of the constitutional monarchy (as opposed to absolute rule by the Bourbons by Charles X) by Louis-Phillipe but became disappointed when Louis-Phillipe backtracked on promised reforms. He died in 1834 at 76; the king attempted to keep his funeral private by making it a military one but crowds protested regardless.
