I think John should have still continued to battle Skynet as a T-3000 far into the future, where the T-800 no longer kills him. Instead of dying in the future, John stops Skynet, but becomes an immortal robot god of sorts, not much different than Skynet itself, worried about his own survival.

I agree with you on both counts, I love the concept behind this Terminator but they didn't do enough with the fact that he was John Connor. I think that a John Connor Terminator with the abilities of the T-3000 would have been much more suited to a future war movie, where he would become the ultimate infiltrator with the most ideal disguise.

That's the biggest flaw, imo. This movie bit off way more than it could chew; the three sections of it - original 2029, altered 1984, and altered 2017 - could probably have been fleshed out into a movie each if they wanted to make a multi-movie saga out of this. Start with the future war leading to Kyle going back in time, then do an altered 1984 where a T-1000 is helping the T-800 and Sarah already knows what's going on, and finish with an entirely new story in a future where a new form of Skynet created by John Connor himself is taking control. That's obviously an incredibly skeletal framework, and would never happen with how the movie industry is, but it would be a start to giving each of the new ideas room to breathe.

T-3000 would have been a nice idea to further make the T-1000 an even bigger threat. But sadly the story ruined the movie and the actor didnt really deliver a convincing Terminator (the thing with shows emotion just undercuts what makes a good Terminator, the moment it doesnt remotely assemble a machine, it stops being a Terminator machine and just becomes a douchebag human wannabe killer villain, kinda like Mark Zuckerburg would turn out to be a Terminator, it becomes a joke).

The reason why T1 and T2 were fantastic because of the realism of the technology..Though they were far fetched ideas for the time but not unbelievable, like the bollocks they showed in 3,4,5 ....We at the time felt that something like that could be possible in teh future and that in a human form was quite terrifying...That scene from T1 where it repairs itself and plucks off its eyes would still give some ppl shivers and the repair job on the wrist was dope af..still! 3,4,5 always felt way too exaggerated with everything..From teh concept of the robots to the timelines to the plots execution....Even the action scenes happening were defying physics n wot not just never struck that feeling of fear in ur heart; like that of losing a important character or like feeling the despair of a chase, of not being able to win against a deadly adversary; ( reasons for which matrix was amazing as well as you could feel the despair of the characters in a nearly doomed situation) rather than fancy robots they should had focused more into the dark side in human emotions, and gruesomeness of the war, plans going wrong, losing and then ending with a glimmer of hope; which i think would had opened more doors towards interesting plot lines may be even with T 800, 900s and may be some special T 1000's

Vortex Darkstar no the t3000 would destroy it. The t3000 is more advanced than the tx.It was almost invulnerable and demonstrated far better strength feats, in addition to striking power. Gaurdian stated that no weapon in their Arsenal could affect it. It can also break itself apart and resemble its own matter to dodge attacks. Furthermore, t-3000 face tanked an RPG while the T-X had it'd arm damaged. Not to mention, it does not have an endoskeleton and is made entirely of nanites

There is a lot of information on the T-5000 in the "Terminator Genisys: Resetting the Future" production book. It reveals, among other things, that the hologram seen at Cyberdyne is also a T-5000 (not only the solid form that attacks John in the original timeline) and it is dubbed "Skychild" before it ages fully into Matt Smith. There is a video about the special effects elsewhere on KZbin that also describes the hologram as being made of ionized air, making him more solid than an ordinary hologram but still dispersible. Based on that information (which is unfortunately about all we know about him), I hold the theory that the T-5000 that attacked John was a swarm of machine phase matter like the T-3000, but was not cohered by a magnetic field. Instead, each of his cells was pure Skynet and possessed the programming to swarm together in the shape of a man by themselves, but the lack of solid coherence would allow him to be effectively impervious to damage; picture how the hologram at Cyberdyne dispersed temporarily when any solid matter passed through it, what I'm describing would work in much the same way. The difference between his hologram form and this would be that he now possesses a solid body when the nanomachines swarm together, allowing him to directly interact with solid objects and people.

Genisys would have been ten times better if they stayed in 1984 and left John, Sarah, and Pops against the 1984 Terminator and the T1000. My personal theory - and this is just my own way of looking at it, keep in mind - is that the T-X was, in some form, a T-2000. That's how I would have filled in the gap between T-1000 and T-3000 - reveal that the T-2000 was a model that combined polyalloy with a solid endoskeleton, perhaps with the actual T-X being a special combat version of that model because of its internal weapons. If the Genisys sequels were not cancelled I believe there would have been a T-4000 as the main antagonist of the second film, but that's just my speculation. My theory is that it would have been like a T-X but with an "endoskeleton" made of the machine phase matter, giving it the sturdiness of the T-X while still retaining the flexibility of the T-1000.

They never state what the T-1000 and T-3000 use as a power source. The closest thing we get (at least what I can remember) is in an episode of TSCC where Savannah says that her mother (a T-1001 in disguise) has a cold lap. This means that whatever powers the T-1000 it does not generate heat like the hydrogen fuel cells that the T-800 uses The T-3000, on the other hand, is easier to deduce. It uses a magnetic field to keep his solid form which should be generated by all the nanobots it is composed by, this leads us to believe that the same nanobots all work together in harmony to operate as a single organism thus providing power

I hate how that movie tries to turn him into a bad guy, sorry i don't think so. and trying to erase him from existence, that's just not right. Connor had a right to live as much as anybody else, and this movie just completely undoes that. not to mention, there were other things Genisys had wrong. for one, Kyle Reese didn't have that much of a sense of humor; he was too traumatized by the war. and Sarah saying how John Connor manipulated Kyle Reese, etc. just fucking twisting everything around... also, i believe the t-3000, being composed of self replicating nan-robots would have a lot more potential than this. they themselves would be able to build Skynet and it's machine army. but i guess they weren't programmed for that. either that or Terminator Genysis is once again not an accurate realistic depiction.
