After the update its hardwr to kill turms in xm, before that, was rlly a good tank, i grinded the USA tt with it. It is my most played vehicle but now im in lov with ikv 91 😂

If this is the new standard I'm ok with it. Doesnt feel near as inconsistent to kill this versus the BVM. That's likely due to the fact I'm a Sweden main and the new survivability mechanics are making it so not *any* turret shot is knocking my breech/commander/gunner in a row so I have a chance to fight back and aim.

I knew this tank wouldn't be as scary as everyone was screaming that it would be. Sure, it's very good compared to its contemporaries at 11.7, but I believe it falls third in the best top tier vehicles. My list is as follows. T-80BVM STRV 122B (all) T-90M It has less mobility than the BVM as it can't reverse and unlike the STRV, the T-90M has easy weakpoints in the front of the vehicle.

Nope, i think it's a 5th best mbt My list : 1. Leo 2a7v 2. Strv 122 series 3. T-80 BVM 4. Type 99a/Wz 5. T-90M The shit reverse speed in T-90M will make it bad at City COD map that is spammed in Top tier, generally it's better to just use T-80 Series. However T-90M is amazingly good sniper in medium-long range map, good thermal + really good turret + laser warning is a combo to be good sniper. And while sniping bad reverse speed isn't that much issue

While I absolutely despise fighting Top Tier Russians solely due to their armour profile, I will have to admit, the T-90M is not as hard to kill as the T-80BVM even with the spall liner added in. For instance, I find that the older autoloader (7.1 second reload) model is easier to detonate, and I find that fuel explosions are more common the T-90 and T-72 series as opposed to the T-80 series. Relikt is still doing godsent things, but I swear its actually more fun to fight a T-90M because it doesn't feel so hand held unlike other Russian MBTs. and of course there is the fact that the T-90M looks so fucking cool like come on. Aesthetically eye candy.

i grinded to the bvm from rank 2 with the turms alone. maybe thats because when it released it was at 9.7 but i take this and my 2s38 to grind. i would say if you want russian bias at high tier then get the t55am1 that thing is a beast

I would argue it isn't the new standard, because the WZ1001 (E) LCT is superior to both the BVM and 90M. I even showed a 90M what an absolute chad the WZ1001 is by reversing past him at speeds the 90M would only dream to ever have.

The WZ1001 is very good, as a china main, but it's survivability is very poor compared to the russian MBTs, it's lower front plate is much bigger and easier to hit, and it has the easier model of autoloader to detonate.

@@Modeus_ I wouldn't describe it as very poor at all. You reverse your way out of any trouble, and it does take hits. Its round has no issue detonating BVM and 90M in one shot. At this tier - mobility is what determines survivability overall. The 90M can't reverse its way out of trouble. The WZ can. You get to choose when and how you take hits when using the WZ, while the 90M drives itself into battles it can't walk away from easily. I have the T-80BVM unlocked, but I prefer driving the WZ, and the Chinese top-tier lineups in general.

When I was referencing the survivability of the ZTZ99A and WZ I was directly referencing their overall ability to take a hit, which is not as good as the russian counterparts (though the recent FY-4 buff along with people just shooting the turret cheeks for some reason sometimes it does take 0 damage sometimes). The issue with era is not that it is completely overpowered in general but only on Russian vehicles watch Abrams with tusk era upgrade have 5mm against kinetic projectiles also Era is no secret anymore like its just an explosive sandwich ... Gajin believes the armor values the Russian gov gave away and they testing it at an angle Era has Variable effectiveness depending on the angle in which its hit say 60 degree angle yeah those 200mm could probably be right (They tested all era on the front of a t72 tank so prolly about 60 degree angle) and gajin just takes those 200 mm against kinetic and applies them as a general hit modifier and not like with armor depending on the angle The west is well aware of era and its capabilities and if it was such a "Wunderfaffe" as it appears to be in the game they would use it too yet they dont also projectiles like dm53 and American equivalent where designed with a blow off tip at the beginning of the projectile to set off the era and then pierce the amor below it so all in all yeah Era in War thunder (aspecially on Russian vehicles and those only) is incredibly busted compared to irl
