T-90M: more armor, citv and LWS. But less mobility and longer reload. T-80BVM: Faster, Faster reload, better turret rotation speed i guess, but no citv and less armored. Veredict: using both is The Supreme Bias.

⁠@@Zhukovsky12Isn’t the Proryv-3 the project name of the T-90M? The only information I could find on the Proryv-2 is that it’s a prototype of the T-90MS that looks somewhat similar to the T-90S. By the way the T-90M won’t really get better. The tanks that are used in Ukraine mainly have better ERA coverage (especially on the sides where they put bags/boxes on the turret). There is a patent showing the T-90M with the Arena-M APS but that has yet to be fitted on a tank.

@@maplearrow1842 You are right about T-90 naming convention. T-90A is "Proryv", T-90AM is "Proryv-2" and T-90M is "Proryv-3". The confusion most likely comes from T-90M having several "obr xx" variants (Which amounts to mod xx year). Latest tanks got "Nakidka" Thermal Signature Reduction Kit as part of a base package, ECM pack and a new radio (Sotnik BL. Nothing fancy, really, it's just an adaptation and amplification kit for civilian LIRA DM-1000 DMR radiostation. The kit is meant to be a stop-gap measure to fix the issues FAST).

I wouldn't, T-90M at the end of the day is essentially no different from T-72B3 and strugglea quite a bit due to bad mobility and lack of gun depression. If your enemy has a lick of a brain you'll get absolutely destroyed
