അയക്കുറ മീൻ കറിയിൽ ജീരകം ചേർത്ത് വെക്കുന്നത് മലബാർ സ്റ്റൈലല്ല. അതിനു പകരം ഇഞ്ചി സ്ക്രാപ്പ് ചെയ്തു ചേർക്കു , ജീരകം സാധാരണയായി ചെറിയ മീനുകളിൽ മാത്രമേ ചേർക്കാറുള്ളൂ
