I have a hoyt turbotec from 2004, a spyder from 2014 I believe, and a new ventum. The other day I chrnonographed all of them with the same poundage and same arrow. Their was only 10lbs of speed difference across the board. I shoot a super heavy arrow and the turbotec, which has a half inch shorter draw length, shot 269 fps and the ventum shot 279-281fps. So even though bows have gotten quieter and smoother etc. I don't think there has been a huge difference in speed since about 2002. I bet if I got that 1/2 inch from the turbotec, it would shoot the same fps

I have the same draw length same draw weight and shoot victory VAPs if your still using victory arrows I would use a 350 spine instead of a 400 just because 400 is on the weak side the 350s are good from I think 65-75lb

what about short draw length but high poundage? im shooting a Hoyt power hawk with 27 DL 70 lbs what kinda arrow and head to shoot? at the moment in shoot rage 2 blade with a 400 victory v force.

I just got back into bow hunting. My issue is I have had a complete rotator cuff surgery. I got a used bow, but 45 lbs is all I can hold comfotably for a good period of time. My question is, can 45 lbs harvest a deer? Its a 1990 black bear compound bow. Thanks guys

Im 28 i weigh 135 pounds and shoot 50 pounds with a 26 inch draw. Id rather be comfortable taking a shot then struggling to pull the bow back

What are your thoughts on tuning the broadheads to match the fletching?

That’s stupid, even when the arrow hits it’s still spinning so the fletching won’t got through the same hole as the broadhead

Over spine is an issue. You need the flex in the arrow so it can correct its self. It's complicated but basically an arrow is always trying to correct its flight so if it's to stiff it can't flex enough to correct. Look it up its hard to explain
