True.he is rightly saying. My understanding is The sectarian divisional thoughts seeded right from the period of Banu Umayyad and Banu Abbas times. I don't say these two dynasties are absolute caliphates. Saying ummayad caliphate and abbasid caliphate itself is wrong terminologies. Rasul(sa) himself prophesized the decline and use the term as monarchy for these periods. These are all dynasties infact. Since they kept islam as base ideology and use their crooked ways to suit their caprice for grappling the power, historians say these as caliphates. There was huge atrocities happent by the caliphs of these two dynasities. That sectarian divisional thoughts was injected by the instigation of *"Tribalism"*. I must say detailed on this. Even in collection of ahadith of six books , there was mode of Tribalism injected in the name of certain ahadith. There are some evidences for that historically. No renowned scholars of that times able to write books on specific topic on justice. Reason was , taking justice as important pillar in Islam itself had sectarian clash between mutazila and others. It is detailed one. Now after British imperialism, the rift of nationalism instigated and which became official ,post ww1 and ww2. The sych-picott agreement is the cause of nationalism to middle eastern map. It is for purely keeping french and British supportive monarch puppets in those redrawn map of these middle eastern countries keeping British US foreign policies dominant. Still we see most of middle eastern rulers are puppets for US. Although this is how the things now, islam spreading in west very fast. We are in a time to present islam in its realistic manner to pluralistic society in a intellectual and wise manner. Quran is presenting this pluralistic approach in detailed way. We live in a period where we need to present islam in a wise manner to the pluralistic society we live in. Amidst so many divisions among ummah socially and politically, we are living in a time where we need to present Quran to whole mankind. Quran is not only for muslims. It belongs to whole mankind. Rasul(sa) prophesized these decline of caliphate.then monarchial dynasty and then chaos and then true caliphate established. So we don't need to worry on this. It will come by the will of Allah.
