I just ordered 2 Lillygo t-deck plus from Amazon. Can't wait for them to come.

Is this Amazon US? Where did you buy it? I can't find it.
@ChrisC-fp9qu3 ай бұрын
@ThatProject Yes Amazon US. I bought them on Monday 10/7/2024 and I checked today 10/8/2024 and they are out of stock.

Hi. I bought 2 Deck plus and both already have updated firmware with beautiful UI. Can I get them to talk to each other without needing a third hardware/node? How? Tks
@ThatProject2 ай бұрын
As shown in the video, have you set the frequency to match your device and region? In my case, I am in the US region, so I need a device for a frequency of 915MHz. If you set this part in the settings on both devices, you will be able to communicate without any problems.

did you buy from Lilly go direct.. still learning and would rather buy like ou with he fancy ui installed
@ThatProject25 күн бұрын
@@Olawalestreams Yes, I bought it from the Lilygo site because that's where I could get it the fastest.
@sv4rinАй бұрын
Can you please explain how those devices are connected with each other????
@ThatProjectАй бұрын
@@sv4rin All of these devices have a LoRa module. The frequency is 915MHz (North America), and communication is possible through this.
@sv4rinАй бұрын
@ thank you dear. What about Europe ? Frequency is different ? And are those devices communicating only with each other, totally independent of any wifi network or cellular ?
@ThatProjectАй бұрын
@ The European frequency of LoRa is 868 MHz. This communication module operates independently and is not related to other communication networks.
@sv4rinАй бұрын
@ Thank you for letting me know, but if that is the case we are talking about something pretty useless in an urban environment, as the few miliwatts of power cannot cover more than 100 meters ( at best ). Additional equipment should be used ( repeaters ) and I don’t see how handy this can be.
@ThatProjectАй бұрын
@@sv4rin Yeah, in urban areas, relatively long-distance communication may be difficult due to environmental factors.

any chance you kept the built firmware? asking for a friend. :)
@ThatProject3 ай бұрын
There seems to be no need to keep the firmware that will be released in the future, as it is more important than the firmware that is currently built.
@0xKruzr3 ай бұрын
welp, didn't take them long to delete the T-Deck firmware file from this release, lol. the project really, REALLY does not want people using this. someone must have noticed that your video was promoting it and sniped it to stop people from downloading it.
@ThatProject3 ай бұрын
@@0xKruzr Maybe they are reluctant to let “normal” users use the test version. I don't know.

These builds expire after 30 days. Nothing was deleted on purpose after this video was published. There are no new builds being made by the CI till this is released as a tech preview.
@Meshtastic2 ай бұрын
Quite the conspiracy. They were not deleted. PR artifacts expire automatically after 30 days. However, we turned off PR artifacts for this because too many individuals were sharing links that expire that lead to comments like this -- all on a firmware build we have not (nor are ready) released yet. As soon as the firmware is in a state where it's ready for wider consumption it will be added to the build files and flasher.
