James is a wonderful mixture of cultures and languages. The way he puts oil on the tracks and trucks in the siding facing the camera before causing Thomas into a devastating crash is just full of the exaggerated swagger of a red engine. It gives me goosebumps every time he does it especially as the music begins to swell.

That IS a goof, and in other videos, it shows Thomas going to the right and stopping. I almost seem to get why it was filmed that way, including here, but it's at least been edited to show that Thomas doesn't go on to the other line.
