Just picked one up for $75 including taxes. Can’t wait to try it out, gonna use it for WT sim and I’ve never played a sim or used a hotas before so I’m excited

For airbuses, it is more realistic for the joystick to be on the left side because the captains joystick is on his left, on most fighter jets the joystick is in between your legs

We've gotten side tracked on our project to build a flight sim cockpit with monitors and blinking lights...and a snack bar. BUT when and if we ever pick back up on that project we will be strongly considering your input. I don't want to spend all this time training in a flight sim if i can't some day use my skills to save a plane full of people after the pilot passes out! It's possible that i watch too many movies....

I played flight sim years ago with flight sim X I think. I tried FS2020 on my Xbox last year and it was fun but after a couple weeks I didn’t play much. I built my gaming pc last September and the last couple months have wanted to get back into it so with it on sale through steam I decided to buy it. I ran into the same issues where it’s fun but kinda hard to fly with a controller, was looking into the Logitech flight yolk but didn’t want to spend 170 dollars and found this one on sale for 25 bucks locally and said used/open box. The box had a ding in it but it was still brand new inside and this setup makes flying a thousand times easier! I had a really hard time landing using a controller but this thing made it soo easy I had to check my accessibility options for landing assists because it seemed harder to mess up a landing than actually do it right.

Do not conect the throttle. Use them separated, the joystick with you left hand and the throttle with the other hand

@@jorgeacosta-acodisystems3362the nice part about the hotas 1 is that the cord connecting the throttle and stick is long enough to be able to swap them if you are a lefty

Yeah but this is a plane-neutral stick. It isn't meant to replicate Airbus or Boeing. Hence the "thrustmaster" branding rather than Airbus or Boeing
