Cuộc thảo luận này rất hay. Trước tiện, tôi nên nói rằng Anh Lan đã học tiếng Việt một năm rồi và nói tiếng Việt giỏi lắm! Hi! The alphabet we teach on our channel is the standard Vietnamese alphabet so it's the same everywhere in Vietnam. It's only when the individual sounds are combined, they will sound differently depending on the dialect!

Very interesting, i'd like to know how easy it is for native chinese speaker to learn vietnamese

Not that easy.... Though im an overseas chinese who speaks chinese dialect of teochew, a 6-8 tonal language too. Very few vietnamese vocabularies sound similar to the hanzi character in my opinion. The only thing vietnamese is easier to learn would be that we do not have to struggle too much with the tonal aspects...

I have come across many videos on youtube created by emigrated vietnamese who have teochew roots, while their spoken english clearly have deep vietnamese accent, their teochew enunciation/ pronunciation is as perfect and standardized as those spoken by the mainland teochew, which really surprised me.

There are many similar words between the two languages (up to 70% of Vietnamese words having Chinese origin at some point, but not Mandarin - google it), the structure is similar, and they are both tonal languages. It's definitely easier for Chinese speakers than it would be for a Western person or something. Many Vietnamese people live here in Taiwan and they can almost all speak decent Chinese within a year, but most westerners here can't even speak that well after like 3-4 years of living here. I also study Vietnamese and I can feel that knowing Chinese makes it so much easier than if I tried to directly learn as a native English speaker without knowing Chinese. Imagine coming from English and learning Vietnamese, having no concept of tones, knowing nothing about 'isolating language' structure, having completely dissimilar phonological systems, no cultural understanding, almost no similar sounding words to help with remembering, etc. Maybe it's not "easy" for Chinese speakers per se, but definitely easier than it would be if you started from most other languages XD

I think another chinese words i often heard is ..... bi ru.... which is for example.....
