My siblings and I stumbled on to your channel and it is amazing. We're American born Taiwanese that only speak hokkien/Taiwanese at home with our parents. It's super rare to find anyone these days that speak the language anymore - especially kids of Taiwanese families. Thank you for this channel and your videos. You have a good fan base here in California! My siblings and I didn't know there was actual English phonetic spellings for Taiwanese. We've been making it up for years. Could you tell us where we can learn the English phonetic spelling for Taiwanese that you use?

That's great that you guys speak at home. I hope you'll all learn how to read and write and make more Taiwanese language content on social media! I teach the spelling system & alphabet right here on the channel: kzbin.info/aero/PLTSKFutIq9d3GHFdHkyZofPhpYuPfBcWA kzbin.info/aero/PLTSKFutIq9d1YCzD8RgIjpGsR9R34-BLt I'll bet you can all learn it in less than a day!
Aiong, that's fantastic. I've been trying to find a Tai-ji language keyboard in my windows 10. Your lesson just came at the right time. Many thanks.

Excellent! By the way, it's "Tai-gi", not "Tai-ji". There are lots of words where "g" and "j" are interchangeable, but "Tai-gi" is not one of them -- an alternative spelling is "Tai-gu".

@@AiongTaigi , Got it. So these two characters have different etymology. Thanks again.
@AiongTaigi4 жыл бұрын
@@robertos4876 Yep! - gí/gú means "language" - jī/gī/lī means "letter" or "character" (as in ABCs or Chinese characters) But I always write "gí" for the former and "jī" for the latter, for consistency / clarity.

Lí-hó! I'm typing this through Google's G-board on Android system. It also provides Hō-ló-uē keyboard. I find Phah tâi-gí not so convenient for me to use because most of my friends speak Mandarin/English/Cantonese and even though phah tai gi allows the users to type Hanji and English, it's just really hard to read in Mandarin/Cantonese and then find the words in Taiwanese and then type it out in Mandarin/Cantonese grammar. I also use Japanese and German, and it's really inconvenient to keep changing the keyboard setting. I hope Phah Tai gi can upgrade and develop a multilingual keyboard switch system. At least switch between Taigi/Mandarin/English.

I've not personally found the Gboard keyboard to be very good. It gives very unreliable autocomplete and predictions, maybe fine if you always ignore those. Also, it's the same amount of taps for me to switch between keyboards or to switch between Gboard keyboards. But it's cool that they provide it at all.

Hi, thank you for teaching how to use taigi keyboard, but I can only search Lohankha for IPhone . Lohankha can input taigi Chinese traditional characters but no luo ma zi. Is only my phone problem ?🤣🤣
阿勇台語 Aiong Taigi thanks, but it still doesn’t work. I opened your link, it says that couldn’t connect to iTunes Store. Could be the problem of my SIM card, it’s China mobile.
