I think his identity crisis stems from his dad being who he is and he wants to mirror that bc that’s the most detailed role model of a man he understands, he heard his dad’s music, he sees his influence and wants to be like his father. He’s rapping like his dad, he’s seeks acceptance in the music community his dad thrived in etc. He hasn’t realized or been around anyone that, in his eyes, measures up to his father enough to influence him to seek something more appropriate or true to who he is because he doesn’t know his self yet, he needs to realize there are other better more fitting ways of life for him. Until then, he’s only standing on his father’s bidness claiming it as his own.

As a father of two it’s the hardest thing to sit back and watch your kids go through what you try and educate them not to do. But unfortunately for some kids experience is the best teacher. I hope young King makes it through this phase.
