Bro F404 engine is already not performing well in dry, cold environment and high altitude but , kaveri engine is designed to give the same level of performance in altitude, extreme temperature and desert conditions

Once I was visited to hmt factory in bangalore there I meet a one of the team member of kaveri engine maker specialist his lived chennai that time of one person said that kaveri engine failed due to world political defence issue and local political pressure not given scope for flase issue to Recitifiy it that engine made by well developers presently who are working in Russia and USA defence sectors

There is lots of research and development work that has to be done to make the kaveri engine more reliable and efficient, I don't think it's possible to match with the ge engine 404 which is far superior, in terms of quality and reliability

Kaveri ya Tejas oda integrate pannangala? Eppo ? 4 engines AN32 integration ae failure, when did they integrate with SEF Tejas. F404 produce 53 KN thrust without engaging after burner. How can IAF accept low thrust engine for mid life upgrade?

@@tpdefencesorry sir ge f404 has many variants & over the years it has improved alot. In 2006 it has max thrust of 75kn now it can make max afterburning thrust upto 85kn & dry thrust upto 53.8kn. .. some forums have reported it' max thrust is 90kn it is possible ge is capable. Kaveri make dry thrust 52kn & wet thrust 81kn this is very old data there could have been improvements , it seems that it cannot sustain higher temperatures at afterburner for long time... & It's weights more 1180kg compared to 1040kg of f404.. however the kaveri officials have said some components can be replaced with light weight alloys to reduce weight but there is no funding how can anyone make jet engine with 250 million dollars... Usa is neither denying nor giving technology we are stucked in between.. still we have achieved significant success as we have made single crystal blades successfully both hal and gtre has that tech.. because of this it seems kaveri has improved but not published details of it.

Its not as simple as that Military jet can develop with Joint venture. American has decades of research,papers and academy on jet engine and material science. They will not give it becomes of geopolitics. This is applicable for Secnma too. We have stand on own. PMO and MOD has to assign more money for research and develop for material science.
