For me the FPV Cycle (Kabab FPV) BabyTooth concept is the ultimate compromise between light weight and flight performance. Have an original 3" one with Zeez 1S board and 1204 mm motors (based on RCinpower, if I am not mistaken). With a light camera it can be squeezed under 60 grams AUW. Have suffered from RX loss due to FrSky system losing its lock above a football field at perhaps 50 meters altitude, the quad basically "glided down". No damage, since almost no inertia. It flies like a laser pointer, you just point and it goes. No noise, just a slight humming noise. Love it.....

correct.. the Kebab motors are all made by RCinpower.. and haha yes.. there is just not enough gravity to have these kinds of quads damage themselves ;)

Awesome flying and review, dude! 😃 What about the flight time? I may have lost when you said it and someone talked to me here. 😬 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Thanks as always brother! :) flight-time is from 5 to max. 10 minutes.. pretty ok? Cheers and be safe!

I bought this one knowing it would be really hard for me to setup. I've never soldered and I'm new to FPV flying : ) So yeah, I knew I was getting into trouble. But if you don't try then you're sure never to succeed. Found a youtube video showing me exactly how to wire a Radiomaster EP2 and it looks like it worked. After quite some fiddling I got a solid green light on that receiver telling me (I think) that it's bound to the Radiomaster Zorro ELRS only radio. Next step, fire it up and fly. Nope, betaflight doesn't show any axes moving but I do have this nice view of a rotating drone whenever I move it by hand. This will take alot more studying and trying but well.... I knew what I was getting into : ) I have another drone incoming too, this one with the ELRS receiver built in. That's a good test case to see if I even set up the radiomaster radio correctly.

@DutchRC 2 жыл бұрын
Checking the rest of the setup that way will work! :D Other then that I assume the port-setup for the receiver and/or the receiver-type isn't set correctly in betaflight? :$ Quite a challenge regardless this one for a first solder job :D

@@DutchRC Quite the challenge it was indeed. Betaflight just didn't accept the input from the Radiomaster. Spent about 8 hours looking at instruction videos, trying out things, flashing this and that to the same version, the Feather just didn't arm, etc. And then suddenly it all worked and it flies exactly like I hoped it would (smooth, slow and very quiet). Quite the experience but it feels like if this can be handled then I'm ready to face whatever more FPV will throw at me. It sure helps to love flying, been flying gliders and have millions of hours in different flight sims. So that gives the motivation to just keep going when things are not going as wanted.

@@okkie_2656 Ohwww good on ya on fixing that :D No idea what changed?? :P And true! work of most any other FPV drone will be Easier indeed :D Not bad at all man.. I just assisted a friend in building a quad (also with an AIO board of that size).. it's NOT easy :)

Suggest : flyng around park like this, better using legacy mode for rapidfire, more better images and colours ^^

You should do a comparison to the emax 1S 3" TP nanohawk X. I think that one is a better BNF. Or maybe the 1S happymodel crux3. I built my own TP3. The flywoo 1203 11500kv motors are the best 👌 on the emax 3" Biblade props. For 1102 I like the happymodel 13500kv motors on 1S and gemfan 2036 props.

yeahhh so the Crux3 will probably be easier to fly (?) on the other hand: 1 toothpick is about enough for me :D most times they are unflyably over here due to the wind :D

I'm having trouble with the vtx, I can't get it to change channel or power. It wasn't set up when I got it, and it says smartaudio undefined.
@DutchRC
@DutchRC 5 ай бұрын
check if the Betaflight Configurator says the VTX is "connected" in the VTX tab. (says so on the right.. and you need the flight-battery to be connected).. I'm guessing BF will say it does not see the VTX... right? That then means the setup in your Ports tab is incorrect for the VTX... is it maybe on a different port? Or is the protocol wrong?
@maddercat
@maddercat 5 ай бұрын
@@DutchRC nope, the vtx was showing as ready, but still smartaudio undefined and yes with the battery plugged in and it's going and outputting video, but I can't change the channel or power in betaflight or in the osd. In the osd I can set it to a different channel, but it doesn't save. I even swapped the uart to tx2 and the reciever to tx1, same problem. I'm thinking it must be the vtx table they have on their site doesn't match. The vtx is their brand but they have no manual on it or any support, and they don't sell it separately. I swapped it out for a goku625 I had in another drone of mine and its working properly with tramp protocol.
