No worries at all but I appreciate that sentiment. The bigger issue is that Tmotor is still telling me to this day that this product wasn't inspired by me or the discussions I had with them for many months. We just had an argument about it a few days ago when they said they didn't like what I said about their motor in my motor review. I told them I didn't like how they stole all my details for their product and that I review everything with the same critical eye no matter where it comes from. 🤷🏻♂️

this is the first toothpick I've bought, and I had no idea the scenario, or I wouldn't have bought it. that said....the esc failed as soon as I put a battery on it and spun up the motors past idle. It did have the capacitor installed in the correct polarity too. Since then I have put a 20amp betafpv aio in it and it flies really well. I have it running rpm filtering with JESC and I'm sure someone else could get it tuned a little better, but I'm really surprised at the performance and flight time that I get on a little 4s 450mah, (makes it heavier than you'd like 136g), but I'm happy with it now. It's unfortunate that I paid $135 for the kwad and then spent another $60 on a board, but I also bought another 12 amp nameless prior to just saying screw it and getting the beta board, so maybe now I'll build a tp3 with a 12xx or 13xx size motor. Higher speed because weights more, and you need more throttle to keep it flying. So you are also going faster. A bit like using more cam tilt.
@Kabab5 жыл бұрын
Mmmmmm maybe. Even my lighter builds with 1105s all wanted to go faster. The throttle doesn't really want to modulate in the lower range well
@lievenvv5 жыл бұрын
@nasone32 More weight means that more thrust is needed to stay up - with less thrust left to go forward. It does not make you faster in that sense.
@nasone325 жыл бұрын
@@lievenvv It's totally the opposite i'm sorry. What you say is true only in the case the thrust you have is limited (when you are already full throttle, so you need to pitch less if you have more weight). Do an experiment, fix the angle at 30 degrees and add and remove some weight, try to cruise at constant speed and see for yourself ;) don't trust your intuition. If I could show you a drawing the graphical explanation is very easy.
@lievenvv5 жыл бұрын
@@nasone32 Now I get what you were saying in your first comment. The lighter quad will allow you to pitch more and definitely go faster, but the heavier one will move faster if both fly at the same lower tilt for some reason. I guess I was talking about top speed and you about cruising speeds at a specific fixed (e.g. favorite) camera angle. Thrust is always limited tho.. And I definitely don't run the same tilt on my whoops as my lightweight 3" rippers. But I get your point, and it's good one ;)

Snapped mine twice in the same exact places. It snapped right where the screw goes into the frame to hold the fc to the frame in the front and the rear meaning the only thing holding it together are the 2 other fc screws. But that said it was the original frame I know they’ve made some upgrades since but I’m waiting on that new frame now. It’s on the slow boat 🚣♀️ from China now. T-motoreo toothpickeo: built by kababfpv (we know the truth)

Due to such high demand for your tp3 parts shouldn't you raise the prices? Sorry if I'm meddling in your business too much. I just really want you to not have to stop doing what you're so good at due to it not being worth your time.

KababFPV maybe stop working with China?
@Kabab5 жыл бұрын
@@brokenprop2474 unfortunately that would mean closing down shop. Almost nothing is made anywhere but in China. The entire world has given China all of their manufacturing and we all are paying the price

@@Kabab what about places like catalyst? They might be interested in getting in on the toothpick side of fpv. I think they are killing it with their beast class and I do love my BangGOD frame
@Kabab5 жыл бұрын
@@bigfuzzyarchon2007 I'm already working with cncmadness and they're great. But still there are China clones on AliExpress. The toothpick copy is only $2.54 cheaper but they're gonna sell a ton of them and while working with trusted sources is better, it's also more expensive. This shit situation we're in is totally killing Innovation. I'm reaching the end of the line myself. The store needs to turn profitable at some point or there's just zero point anymore to all of this. I have far more profitable avenues to spend my time....I don't like them but at least I can live off them. The entire planet has given all the manufacturing potential to China and now we're all paying the price.

Kabab, you are often so mercilessly hard on other people's genuinely good efforts to produce a decent and affordable product that you are slowly losing credibility with me. I really enjoy your videos, but I am finding it harder and harder to take your opinions to heart. Mostly the reason is that when a company like Happymodel or Betafpv sets out to develop a product, more often than not they are targetting a certain level of performance at a certain price point. They never intended to design and build the very best product in its class. Come on, don't bash these companies and their products simply because they don't have the very best performance in their classes. Many of these products I see you bashing are perfectly fine in the hands of the average fpv pilot. Most of us are not good enough pilots to notice the handling and/or performance differences between a good micro and a truly class-leading one. So, more often we'd be better off buying a cheaper and good product rather than an expensive and excellent one. Obviously I want to see you speak your mind about which product or products you think are the best. But there is no need to completely bash a company simply because they made a good or even an OK product. If it weren't for the more affordable but decent products I can buy at Banggood I wouldn't even be in FPV. Oh and by the way, I have tried at least 3 times to buy your amazing toothpick at your fpv cycle store, but never did I ever manage to find all the parts in stock at once. At least Happymodel and Betafpv have their products generally available in stock (including the inevitable spare parts).

Gustavo Sganzerla My own experience with Happymodel and BetaFPV has not been good, their QC is poor and their customer support...well do their even have one. We all have a choice, buy what you like, watch what you like, and hopefully this channel continues as is. To date his reviews and opinions have been on point and therefore trustworthy.

To say that bangbad and happymodel fly good enough for the average pilot says enough right there. The original tooth-p with the amax 2s is a fantastic little machine, and durable. We thank this guy for his efforts on developing this micro class into something exciting. If you don't get it, then don't knock it till ya try it. I was just able to put together an order for 1s t-pick yesterday. FWIW

Your mistake in perception is that you think these companies are your friends. They don't give two shits about you. All they care about is your dollar and Tmotor is definitely not the cheapest either. These companies mostly have zero innovation and all they do is steal ideas and designs. I'm right at the edge of calling it quits because of this bullshit. I constantly am. What's the point of doing anything if all I'm doing is wasting my time. I can have my own fun on my own without all this time and energy investment. I'm not fighting for credibility at all. You're welcome to head on over to all the Yes men channels.

You might not like what Im about to say. Drones are 100x better than the hacks 5 years ago. But overall, drones are still a mess of crap. Compatibility of TX, RX protocols. VTX finally going digital. F4 vs F7 - like 6+ years old. Its 2010. A $300+ transmitter has 128x64 chunky pixel screen. A $99 cellphone has 1080p. Little finiky wires. Special scripts. Endlessly updating firmwares.. Gamers buy 16-64 core systems, and meanwhile we are fiddling for hours to reduce filtering delay because the $9 F7 has like 256KB of RAM. At least Mavic looks modern.. collision avoidance etc Its crap. Its patchy. Its BS. Its like windows 3.1 before USB and plug n play.
