Is "Cut the sandwich into half, please" also correct? Whst's the difference of using "in" and "into" here? Second, can we pronounce "could "j"ou instead of could you since both could and would end with "d" and people often pronounce would jou. Thanks a lot.

I would say "Cut the sandwich into half, please'" is not wrong, but it's more common and natural to say "Cut the sandwich in half, please.". We usually use the expression "in half" instead of "into half" when we say something is divided equally. Yes, you can pronounce "could you" as "kʊdʒu". Hope that helps!
