Yeah, a bit late I'd agree. Though we don't know the circumstances in their life. Raw Ramp might've been brought up in an impoverished family and could only afford to purchase music when they were financially able. My family were not very financial, yet I saved all my 20 cents pocket money to buy my first single just b4 my 12th birthday at end of 1972.

The 309th UK #1. Bolan and the dinosaurs returned to the summit, so the New Seekers couldn't make it five weeks. Better than "Hot Love" (IMO), but not as much as "Get It On". He may not be with us any more, but his legacy won't die. Today's "artists" will be forgotten soon. 7.9/10 ("Good")

Complex song, though not obvious .. .there's a nasty beat lurking below the surface......the Bass, rhythm guitar and groove is serious business.....the riff is driving hard .....perhaps Bolan's watermark moment, when all the ideas and talent came together best? 1:22 "Jungle-faced Jake, Jungle-faced Jake, I say make no mistake about Jungle faced Jake".

I was super disappointed by it when hearing it for the first time and loving the original. Nowadays I think it is an ok cover. It does its own thing.
