Just the state of California has 4X the GDP of the whole country of Turkey. The USA defense budget is higher than the whole GDP of USA. All Turkish defense efforts are futile if Turkey opposes US interests.

Silly talk. The US has to spend those resources in many different places, it is active across the globe from europe to asia. The US with all its spending was not able to defeat a bunch of afghan tribesmen, they could never defeat Turkey.

@@4040tee you are naïve to believe that the Taliban won a "war". The US used Afghanistan for their purpose and left the area because they knew the Russian attack will start and didnt want US personnel in an area that would make them vulnerable. Imagine what USA did to military juggernauts such as Germany and Japan. Turkey is a Middle Eastern meze comprised of 27 minorities that want their freedom. When the conflict starts the plan is for at least same countries which recognized Kosovo to recognize the whole Kurdistan. Game Over. Turkey is just a bird and Thanksgiving is every year :)

Russia cannot be allowed to trade using the Bosphorus or any exits out of the Black Sea. This would be a kin to saying prisoner of war executions are OK, THERE NOT! There's a reason why rules are in the Geneva Convention. If Russia seriously wanted to trade in this area they would have kept to the convention even though they are not part of it.
