"She sent her/him ". How I pronounce this? Is the T from "Sent" dropped?
@GanadoFO2 жыл бұрын
I would not drop the 'T' in sent. Rather, the T sort of becomes the beginning of the next word/syllable, so it's like "she sen-t[h]er", "she sen-t[h]im", where the T is still pronounced as T, but may be more aspirated. Note: I do not mean it sounds like "TH" as in [θ]. Edit: Alternatively, it might be more like "sent'im" or "sent'er" where the H sound is dropped. And you might also have the t become an alveolar tap (like where "butter" sounds more like “budder”),

You've been studying , [havencha]? You study, [doncha]? You're a teacher, [arencha] ? You'd visit Paris, [wouldncha]? I'm still looking...

I am a native speaker but when you said "That's what you asked for!", it made me confused. To me it sounded like "That's what you asked FLOOR". First of all I think you should fresh up your pronunciation before teaching somebody
