M Jave , I don't think that's how Olympic wrestling works. The individual advances not the team, you can't just substitute a person in his place. You might have 5 guys on the team, but they are all from different weight categories and have different skill-sets. Say one guy gets to the semi-finals, and doesn't want to compete anymore, so he should just get replaced by an alternate? Did the alternate wrestle his way to the semi-final to begin with? their is potential for abuse if they allowed that system to work. Then again I could be wrong, but I'm almost certain that you can't sub people in.
