IMO the golden road discussion is unnecessary. Since we never had another tournament, there was never a necessity to clearly define it. This is the first time there is an extra tournament that every team could qualify for. Losing it certainly doesn't, in any way, take away the achievement of winning everything else. I just don't like fighting over the use of a term. What matters are the actual results. Two things are true: 1. Winning both splits, MSI and Worlds would still be completely unprecedented and the greatest feat a team has ever accomplished. 2. It's also true that this ends the possibility for GenG's perfect year. It's obviously not super important, but it is a tournament with the top teams in the world where everybody tryharded. It had over a million peak viewers. As much as I despise everything the tournament stands for and hate the Mickey Mouse format, it is still worth something from a competitive perspective. Less than any random LCK split for sure.

Everytime T1 and Keria plays I want to watch it and it doesn't matter if the tournament / series is in Timbuktu or NoKor. He deserves to get paid well and get/earn every penny he can for playing as a pro. I must say Kitty looks phenomenal and I missed her casting games. Good draft analysis. Fyi, virtue signalling will not pay the bills.

GenG lost an official tourney like imagine saying fifa club world cup it's not official tourney Golden Road = you have to win all as long you participate in official competition btw EWC >>>>>> RIOT same as FIFA >>>>>>>> UEFA and etc and in the future EWC will take over btw EWC games were more competetive than LEC & LCS playoffs
