Is this possible with an 16 inch Touch Bar MacBook Pro from 2019 ? If yes how much would an Upgrade to 32/64 GB RAM cost ? Would it also run with 2666 MHz ?

I have done some resaearch myself, I found out the 64GB modules, they are 3200MHz Micron modules, 32GB each channel (2 in total). Although Im still in doubt if im going to perform the upgrade. I do have schematics of the laptop and the boardview so I know what resistors to change and what modules to put, but Im not that experienced. I want them to make a video of this partitucular laptop, maybe I will get the courage to do it myself. The cost overall with flux and stencil plus the chips themselfs I calculated around 300€, way better than 900€ that apple bills you for the same amount.

Hi, yes it is possible, but since the RAM chips are too expensive, we are not offering the upgrade service for now

this model officially support 32gb, but the ram is pretty hard to find for now. so we don't provide such upgrade for the moment. same goes to storage.

Not sure why Apple makes it so hard to upgrade ram, i'm sure it's greed. They could make slotted ram holders, no soldering needed. Just pop out old add new, had some tiny dip switches to configure ram size. But that makes sense, Apple is not sensible.
