Tbh if Patriot was classified as a Med, even if it lost some HP it would be much better. It's only problem is it is getting matched up against heavies and that's it's main problem since it has less staying power vs a VK1001 or a BZ176 or KV4

Disagree, most if not all competitive meds nowadays have better alpha, much better gun handling, much better mobility, way better camo and some even have similar or better armor. This buff is a much needed one and pretty good since it wont make the tank OP

@@JWil97you miss my point. The buff was needed but it being matched up against heavies is a problem. Heavy role is not only about firepower but also about being able to slow down flanks. This is why armor or fear factor due to gun are important here. This didn't have any so it effectively worked like a buffed pershing. Also most meds still have 240 alpha and even if they have turret armor they get worse gun dep.

Turtle was overbuffed in this patch though, WG really made super power. Patriot needed a buff considering Iron Arnie is stronger being a medium tank and the T-832 and T32 are very powerful now.

A while after I got the Patriot, I was thinking of exchanging it for something else. I hated it because of the gun. I got The Mutz and KV5 with bonds after this, both of which I enjoyed more than this. It has been months since I have played the Patriot. Will definitely try it out soon!

I have kv5 and for me it is unplayable while patriot seems fun. I think it depends on the playstyle. I lure them to shoot and miss one shot and then go and hit twice as I have good reload time.

I was top 1 player before patch with this tank. Never understood why people cried about tank, it had good turret armor, dpm and mobility. It is best credit farmer, standard shell costs 400silver with 220 pen. For me this sounds amazing. Maybe for players, skill was issue, not the tank

Yes at tier 8 I can play this okayish but I struggle with tier 9 and tier 10 and can't penetrate anything.. It's with all heavies for me though I don't know how to play them when you are bottom tier..

I had this tank since it was released and it was my only premium tank i still absolutely love it and the new buff was important to put it up to new power crept tanks standarts. Shame the turret armor doesn't hold up as good as it used to everyone seems to have better pen and accuracy now. (i played this tank for 1k+ games)

Iyouxin is a good player, I am not saying otherwise, but he is overhyping some of the tanks in his reviews in my opinion. In a meta, where tanks like BZ-176, Skoda T 56 can deliver devastating damage in mere seconds, T26E5 is kind of a garbage tank in my opinion. Yes, you can upload a video where you defeat some average players, but on a same skill level, a Skoda T 56 player will almost always dominate.

Funny how you say it is amazing at making credits now but you do 4,5k and still get less credits than the majority of the good premium tanks. I get it, you can buy this for bonds, but I am not sure if I want to spend months and months of bonds for such a tank or just buy one good prem for 30-40 euros and be done with buying premiums for the rest of times (there was skoda t56 recently, there was renegade and some others). Yes, Patriot is now fun tank and not frustrating as it was before, definitely good buff, but it still suffers from two really bad things: Low alpha and being a heavy in todays meta and matchmaking. I would really appreciate if they buffed the alpha to something little bit higher (maybe 280) and reduced the reload to have the same dpm. But that is sadly never going to happen. And I get it, it is an old tank so it got powercrept quite a bit and it is hard to compare it to those modern beasts.

Pershing is nice today. I played it in 2013 and then maybe three years later trying to get ace tanker, but I gave up. In 2013 it had relatively good gun handling and somewhat relevant armor against tier 6. But it obviously lacked standard shell penetration, it was not fast and all tier 8 mediums were underpowered. Then it got only worse, less tier 6s, it can have some lucky bounces, but it can't rely on armor, and dpm compared to tier 9 is a joke. It's not even improvement from T20 which is faster and has great camo, so it can take scout role. Just for curiosity I retrained M46 5 skill crew, first battle got two gun marks, 800dmg, 3200spot and went from maybe 75% moe to 88%. 2nd battle I got 3800dmg and ace. After playing kpz07rh a lot recently, I almost feel this tank is better except speed and HE. With 5.5s reload it feels like an autoloader, gun handling is good, you can trade two shots for one even against higher tiers (before patton had just slightly worse reload, but much higher alpha) and with experimental mobility 53/23 km/h speed feels pretty ok. Now it can be played in a similar way to Patton. It even has more accurate gun and higher premium penetration. After 700 battles i actually enjoy playing it for fun and statpadding.

@@iyouxin Is turbo actually viable? If you look at tanks gg they buffed the max speed by 5 but the GR stayed the same, so it still has the same speed, it helps only on downhills, you should try it with grousers, they are better imo

Liberte is better. Before the buffs and after. The only case Patriot is better in is dpm-ing the lower tiers. Liberte has much better consistency. The buffs just made Patriot less bad. It's still not much good despite how massive the buffs were.

The problem with Patriot are its mobility is a lie. Horrendous terrain crossing stats, mean even if its supposed to be mobile, it never really is. And turbocharger doesn't fix that, you need grousers. But the thing is, terrain crossing stats so bad grousers aren't much help. The gun handling buffs to accuracy, aim-time, dispersion factor are real nice. Sadly, no DPM increase. Considering the DPM of tanks like Lansen, 274A, Caern AX.....Patriot couldve used a boost here. ln an alpha meta-game comprised of things like BZ176 (which pens Patriot easily frontally) Skoda 56, Defender and 50TP - again patriot is left to wonder

Oh well I traded my patriot for CS 52 LIS happy decision , its not like you always get those cheesy maps where you can play hull down and not always see tier 7 its more on tier 9, tried marking this tank for second marks almost close with 83% but it eventually go down super pershing is better than this, with such toxic meta you see BZ 176 and T 832, skoda T 56 you will cry with the power creeps even a borasque can make you cry wishing you can deal instant 600 and its a heavy... you rely more on armor not so enjoyable if you get bloody tier 9 heavies but if credits you ask you can throw gold and somehow get more credits in premium but yeah not so happy with it if only this becomes 280 or 300 with gun happy to buy it again from bonds store dpm becomes useless if people are just gonna hit you once (big damage) then hide from you eventually, the only shine blowing this tank good view range can proxy spot pema track your enemy try on medium line with turbo and hardening (Heavy medium ) but yeah still doesnt cut for fast mediums I loved this tank. like maybe 864 games on it but yeah its just torture for me got to think it through whether should i trade it for LIS hard decision but well happy to use LIS on frontlines. But Iyouxins point here in video is "CREDIT GRINDING TANK" which is true for the tank can be buy from bond store.

I still hate the thing. Horrendous terrain resistances means one slot is reserved for grousers so you can pretend you're a fat medium. Upper plate is a joke, shell velocity for APCR a joke, accuracy is still mehh.
