Thanks for the vid! Quick question - do you know if elemental resistances count towards the hard cap? Like if I have spell resistance basically at cap but have a shock resist chant on jewelry, it wont give me any more shock resist than having spell resist capped would?
@t3hasiangod4 жыл бұрын
Specific elemental resistances do not count towards the hard cap.

Can you compare scathing versus julianos on a sorc that uses crushing shock/force pulse?
@t3hasiangod7 жыл бұрын
Sure, I can take a look at that.

At 14:14 you say that there's no weapon enchantment glyph to increase resistance, but actually there is and it's called "Defending". It increases both physical and magical resistance permanently as long as the enchanted weapon is in the selected bar (it's actually better than a skill that lasts only a certain amount of time, and allows the allotment of other skills in the skill bar - in DPS for instance or some aoe effect on status).

Defending isn’t a glyph, it’s a trait

How are racial passives calculated? Say you are an imperial with 12% max health, is that a straight 12% from the unchanging base or is it calculated after your skill point additions? Or after your enchantments? It seems to me that where that percentage is added is VERY important.
@t3hasiangod6 жыл бұрын
Here's the formula for resources: ((142 * Level + 858 + 111 * Attribute.Magicka + Item.Magicka + Set.Magicka)*(1 + 0.004 * min(CP.Magicka, 100) - 0.00002 * pow(min(CP.Magicka, 100), 2)) + Food.Magicka + Mundus.Magicka + Skill2.Magicka)*(1 + Skill.Magicka + Buff.Magicka) Racial passives fall under Skill.Magicka, so it gets calculated after everything except buffs are applied.

Soo nirnhoned would be better on medium armor?
@t3hasiangod4 жыл бұрын
No, you generally don't want to run Nirnhoned on medium or light armor. Only heavy armor on chests, legs, or shields.
@ErnIIIV7 жыл бұрын
Just because I did that math before, these would be the percentage values for armor: chest = 100% armor value head, shoulders, legs, feet = 87,5% armor value hands = 50% armor value waist = 37,5% armor value so basically in steps of 3/8, 4/8, 7/8 and full. Shields don't really fit this system maybe cause they don't belong to an armor weight...

crit resistance ?

North Aizer that'll be in a separate video. I can't test that on PvE, and I don't PvP very much so I'm asking some friends to help me out.

Can you explain how spell damage shield works on top of resistance? I'm at a little over 29k physical and spell resistance and I use Annulment spell damage shield which is a shield 40% of my max health (28k). Does the shield stack on top of the physical/spell resistance? I'm asking be I get hit in a vet dungeon with 59k hit and get one shot wipe, although I have my annulment DMG shield on my health bar.
@t3hasiangod5 жыл бұрын
Damage Shields act as essentially additional health. So a 3k Damage Shield will act like 3k additional health. They are affected by resistances and other sources of mitigation. However, they do not take into consideration any reduction in damage due to blocking.

Too long, did you answer question like :"How much damage you lose against one point of spell/physical resistance"?
@t3hasiangod6 жыл бұрын
It's important to watch the entire video to get a complete understanding behind game mechanics. I do NOT do short 2 minute videos that just state equations, since those don't really teach anything. The equation for resistance is ~660 resistance = 1 percent mitigation.

Prime example of how to be bad at a game. Give a man a fish he can eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he can eat for a lifetime
