haha no way, i think i have the same thing... 2001 2.4 aja.. my fuse box glow plug pin was melted #fixed the melted pin #new glow plugs(all 5 where dead #new blue 2 pin temp sensor ....... this is a weird problem.. did you get it fixed???

Hello mate i have left the bulb in line so i can see when its glowing so i wouldnt say its fixd but it seems to go off after 3 mins or so .cleaning the relay contacts helped hope that helps you

@@T4.3quarters ah good idea. I might wire in an led into my relay lol. I have some info for you. I believe it's a broken wire somewhere. If you check the wiring going through the firewall and runs over the engine/airbox. You have to pull that black protector off. And apparently it's a black and white wire that seems to get sliced/broken. I have a few broken wires. My door electric windows need sorted and I have a dancing speedo needle. I'm on the vwt4 forum as jonnytransporter

@Merv Francis in my case, relay goes off after ~10 sec, but it turns on while starting engine, after wont go off.... changed a new relay and 4 pin sensor(brown), didn't help.....wiring problem?

@@ulvissan3446 Hey, i got the same issue with my van!! 2.4 5cyl Based on what i found online, when you turn ignition on, the relay works for about 11sec, while cranking, the starter motor gives a signal to the relay so it turns the glow plugs back on in order to help starting the engine. The thing is, the relay stays on after that, I'm checking the 4 pin temperature sensor as well bc it is supposed to make the realay stop. I'm afraid if it might burn the wiring if it stays on for too long. Have you found what the issue is?

Shouldnt that relay be a 104 numbered?
