'Design and Manage' is a Cities: Skylines let's play series that focuses on what are for me two core aspects of the game: Design (eye candy, aesthetically pleasing layouts, road systems and districts) and Management (earning a positive income while providing all necessary services to maintain a functional city and a healthy traffic flow).

27:50 You don't have to use a small segment of 2-lane road in between to get rid of the traffic lights. You can connect the avenue directly with the on/off-ramps and disable traffic lights manually in the Traffic Routes > Junctions tab.

Watched season 1 a year ago and was so inspired that I ended up buying the game and been working on my city ever since. Currently at pop 150k and 85%-90% traffic. Keep up the great content!

@MLU8811 this is actually a great idea, with growing experience one can find a new perspective on old ideas and learn even more from that. I just started my first city yesterday, and a planned 1 hour session turned into a 6 hour operation, I went to bed at 2am, slept 4 hours, went to work and now can't wait to get back home and get back to it. I don't own the game but started watching Biffa fix traffic on a whim because it sounded amusing and slowly but surely got more and more interested in the game itself. People in his comments recommended watching your channel for how to actually play the game and I am glad I came these are very relaxing lessons. I am, however, shocked at how hard it is to make a roundabout without mods after seeing it done a hundred times!

Others have already said this, but you may want to keep that avenue all the way to the intersection and just disable the traffic light manually using the junctions tool. This episode was just amazing. Thanks for doing season 2!

As you turned the bridge to a one-way road, you can use the assymetrical 3-lane industrial road at the segment that leads to the industrial sector (2 lanes in/1 lane out)

Love the idea of having a nature reserve. Maybe you can put the main entrance of the nature reserve right above the tunnel part. BTW, "Tadema" is an old Frisian word (also a patronymic) meaning "son of Tade." Definitely some European vibes here.

You can run paths through some parks. I love using the large park with trees and the large playground as part of the path network, but the plaza with trees can also be connected.

Hey, Target. To avoid simplistic and repetitive road layouts, besides the coastal layout you're already gonna make, you could also make some roads following the contour lines instead of going uphill and downhill on TADEMA's high land neighborhoods. This would give your city interesting and realistic shapes. I've just rewatched the previous series. It was a memorable work u made on that snow map city!

Very nice development starting from episode 2. Al always, the simmetry, medium-term planning, the pathway networks, the road hierarchy, all of this is the content we are looking for :) The roundabout at the end was very much needed, and with a quick change mentioned in other comments will make it spectacular. I've followed all if your series including the Green Scenario one. Although I have +1000 hours played in Cities and successfully built a few cities I'll be watching this one since I bet you have a lot of the things in ur pocket to share with us. you can go into junctions options and disable traffic lights, also there is an aroundabout builder mod that you would probably really enjoy, as well as a traffic manger mod that’s amazing

Oh dear, thank you for your content, I am relatively new to this game so I searched some guides and found your last video, duplicated it, watched first several episodes of season 1 and went on expanding where you stopped in last video. I am so glad that I had same idea as you, duplicated on the other side of avenue, then I wanted to delete that rock but noticed it is actually a cave and I also decided to make it my first national park in Cities Skylines, it is awesome with that cave. Well, to me it is not a mere cave, it's called "Wolfbrothers Den" :)

Glad you are back, I think you can make use of the Walkable Quay update Paradox made to the game and use quays around most of the low lying coastal areas

Natural coast lines are nicer. Only use quays when there's a reason to add all that concrete to your city, like for instance when it's around some docks.

I've noticed that for the most part you are keeping demand for commercial, residential, and industrial properties low (continuing to zone more bring demand down again), but I have read that keeping residential demand low while having moderate commercial and industrial demand is a strategy to avoid complaints about not having enough workers/educated workers. What are your thoughts?
