We did it pretty good. lol The front bearing race was spinning and trying to grind its way out of the case.

I hope so. Was planning to hit the track this weekend but it’s a rain out. I have made some videos this summer but I keep breaking stuff so I didn’t think they were worth posting. Trans issues, clutch cable issues, changed to hydraulic clutch, snapped an axle… Hopefully the last weekend of Oct we get out and run a PB.

Are you running the G Force street T5, or a stock transmission with replacement gears?

@@mikeymac9 I have a 68 Torino fastback that I'm going to do a budget Roadkill. Thought about running a T5 for the overdrive, but I know I'll have more than 300 ft pounds of torque. Not many options other than spending $$$$

@@Rusty_Dents If you plan to just cruise it or when you do beat on it it’s on street tires it will probably live for awhile. 50tussin does a hell of a job with his stock T5’s with the billet 3-4 keys and cluster support. Nice thing about stock ones is plenty of cheap parts around.

Your small block Torino is fast enough. You put in a lot of effort in your videos. You deserve a sponsor. Maybe Borg Warner will notice you! BTW… it time to go new. Not rebuilding.

Well if you are good at rebuilding it, just keep going until you save up for an upgrade. Figure out how many passes you can do before you have to take it apart again.

Lol nah. I’ve been drag racing since 1997 and just do it for fun. Not into it for a sponsor or anything. I’m enjoying trying to go quick with stock short block 302 NA. It will be an 8.2 deck forever. After the 302 will probably be a 363.

@@mikeymac9 you really know your mechanics, you have the sweetest and most brutal Torino I have seen in my 63yrs. Myself had an unusually fast 70 302 Stang. Single exhaust, 2bbl carb C-4 trans. My auto shop teacher used to drag race i and taught me Some tricks to make my Stang faster. I used to beat up some cars that had a reputation as being fast. But after racing my Stang they didn't believe it Was stock and wanted to see the engine. That was so much fun seeing the look on their faces when they saw The motor. I am sure you have experienced the same situation yourself. Myself watching your Torino At the track still has me scratching my head wondering how a na 302 can launch that Torino so brutal and be so quick. I have seen 428 Torino's not launch as good as yours. You should put a sticker between the tail lights just as I did. 302? Or, got 302? 😂 Anyway it's always a treat to watch what You do. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
