All wheel drive available on all hybrids in 2026 model year. If you set up individual drive mode you can eliminate the fake shifting noise in sport. Had mine a few months, excellent car. My sedan is assembled in Canada. I prefer the Continental tires they include on the sedan. Hatch is a bit heavier from the rear door and its 4" shorter. Sedan gets a cnt hair better mpg. Only the Type R can beat it 0-60, the Si lags behind slightly but comes in manual.

Sad to see Honda is going with wider factory tire sizes. Honda historically were great snow cars in part because they only used 205’s which is better for a car in that weight range in snow. 235s are better for a 3500-4500lb SUV or minivan.

Wife and I are in our low 40s and will likely never own another sedan due to it just being easier. It's always been a better financial move for the young to buy used, let someone else take that upfront depreciation. The trend of new car buyers being older and wealthier than the average has been around for a long time now. It's also too expensive for the manufacturer to sell cheap small cars here in the US, that's why they're all getting discontinued here but still sold everywhere else (even in the EU where regulation is rampant).

Every night when we got home and had to start the hunt for a parking space it was a bonus to be in that car. Plus the space under the rear seat !!!!! Being a product of the 60's I've never been interested in anything labeled hybrid. But I must admit that one is impressive. Thanks for an eye opening review. And its a relief to see that beautiful brain under a lift that doesn't make one's penguin port pucker up.
@maxotterlandСағат бұрын
Once you wrap your brain around hybrid drive you'll understand that it's much more elegant and simple than an old school automatic. Most of the gearing is done with magnetism. The engine is pulling on the drive motors with magnetism to add torque. No physical connection to the wheels. Seems crazy at first but it's so smart. Toyota figured out Synergy drivetrains twenty-five years ago. It's neat stuff.

4:00 The 'pause' in the brakes might be because of regen breaking. The first 10-15% of the brake pedal might only be doing regen before the actual physical brakes kick in. It takes a bit getting used to, but it works out. Plus, if you change your driving habits, you end up using the regen for most of the braking power, and your pads last way longer.

You can literally take your for off the brake pedal and the car will stay stationary and then when you should the gas it let's off the brake. They have it in many models. I have it in my Accord. It is amazing. I have nerve damage in my right hip. The simple act of moving my right foot from gas to brake can be somewhat painful. This is very helpful. I own a 2016 HRV (116,000 miles) and a 2014 Civic (180,000 miles) since new with the 1.8 liter engine versions, and they have been very reliable. They, however, are manual transmissions that you cannot get in the new ones. The six-speed in the HRV has much better gears and is more fun to drive. Top gear rpm's are identical on the highway where the aerodynamics of the sedan shows up in significantly higher gas mileage.

I'm very thankful to have watched the install and as well as the 1400 lbs of car it also lifted my spirits. They'be been weighing my down of late. The turmoil here in the UK tends to burden everyone so thanks for... A, the install and B, the first reveiw on the lift...appreciate it Sarah...

Beautiful car, would definitely have a tough choice between this and the Prius. Both seem solid.

We're getting late in the cycle but this generation Civic will go down as one of the greats.
