Core Shifters makes a softer bias spring for about $10. I run one in my Chevelle and it’s perfect, no chance of accidentally going into reverse but it also doesn’t take both arms to use reverse when you need it.

Recently I've had a problem with not being able to shift down from 6th to 5th gear. Any help anyone? 98 chevy camaro

I see you don't recommend cutting the spring anymore, why not? What's the new solution? I cut mine and since then I've broken the sikky shifter handle twice putting it into reverse to overpower the spring... kind just want to get rid of it at this point.

Using 12v to the lockout to actually release it. Using the t56 harness www.grannasracing.com/products/t56-magnum-wiring-harness-with-bluetooth-speedometer-and-lockout-control

Is this T56 the same in the 2nd generation CTSVs? I've got a '12 6.2 coupe with manual 6...

Can you pack grease with the spring?

just wondering why not unbolt the plug side nut? it would just clean it up and give more room just my thought!! and it's almost lb off 😀

Luis Couto It’s easy to miss 5th and hit reverse if you completely remove it, great way to grenade your trans.

Hi will your doing mod work for all cars? I wanted to install this into a 2001 mustang since this trans is in the 03 cobra mustang just curious if your spring would fix the lock out
@GrannasRacing4 жыл бұрын
I no longer do this. I now recommend using the harness kit I sell which will unlock it automatically under 4mph

Dude just remove the entire spring and install it empty. The hell with cutting and doing all that none sense. That’s what I did and worked great.
