the House of M issue wasn’t that the royal family was upset: the game used a comic image that copied a painting. that painting is protected by copyright, so Marvel had to shell out a lot of money to license it or destroy every copy of the comic. they didn’t have the right to use the image in the game, thus it was a copyright violation getting the developer sued
