Would have countersunk the holes for the audi seat. Mount the adapters to the seat and then to the frame

I’ve fitted Audi seats in my van it’s easy to fit with bars going other way

hi , can you do a video of how you managed to mount the drivers seat, ive just hit the same problem , after feeling pleased with myself that all my holes lined up , then realised the seat needs to move 40mm from the centre of my holes to line up with steering wheel.... gutted!! need to see how you have done, wish i had found your video before i made up the plates , passenger seat will work great though

My driver seat is slightly off still, I’m doing the same on another transporter I bought a while ago, I’ll include it in that when I do them. Basically…. I cut a bit out of the base and never revisited. Ive had the plates I made drawn up on solid works and laser cut. I’m using my other transporter as a tester to see if they work then I’ll tweak the mounts and get a few sets made up.

Hello! What about the original airbag in the driver seat? Is it programmable if you put in a seat without?

My van didn’t come with an airbag in the seat so I didn’t have to code anything out. You can’t code airbags out, you have to put a resistor across the wires.

That’s definitely the worst way to mount the seats. I guess you tried.

Hi Simon, I do have measurements as I’ve kept the templates. I’ll have to get them as they’re in the garage, watch this space! Mk5 gti seats are nice, had the tartan cloth ones in my caddy for a while and have a leather set in the R32!
