I just installed your short stand on my lowered T7 and I love it. I am so much more confident about walking away from it now, before a stiff wind could have knocked it over. The large camel foot sits flat and secure and is adorable. BTW, I also appreciated the kind thank you on the shipping box. Camel ADV you're killing it!

I'm happy to hear you're happy with your Camel Toe! Thanks for the kind words.

Great how to video as always! ... For those that are reinstalling the kickstand switch and guard without bypassing or relocating, be careful tightening the 10mm bolt that threads into the kickstand pivot bolt. It snapped very easily on my bike when i was just trying to snug it up

I don't have a T7 ( I own a 2020 KTM 790 Adv R) but I almost always learn something new from these install video's. Thanks!!

Took me a taad longer to install. Had to remove the Center stand (which I wanted to do anyways) to access the 10 mm Allen on rear. Bypassed the switch while at it ;). Very happy with the quality of the stand man!

Fantastic.. gotta say though ..25mm lowering links and sw motek centre stand with b&b bash plate installed first .. was so hard on the 10mm inhex for access .. great stand ..

Nice Cory, these look really good - will do some fully loaded measurements with 230mm travel suspension and then order the correct size from you! - Much thanks for all you do!

I believe heating bolts with red Loctite will soften the strength of the treadlocker. This is not to mean red hot however.
@CamelADV3 жыл бұрын
Yes, heat helps but the bracket it's threaded into is aluminum so anything more than an electric heat gun can cause issues.

Nice... I may have to invest in one. Just placed an order tonight for pegs and a bar riser for my AT. You should make a lockable tool box that’ll mount inside SW Motech pannier racks... I know a couple guys that would be interested

Hi, when I put the 10mm switch bolt back in and tightened it up, the bolt snapped in half in the hole with very little force. Anyone else had this issue? No idea what to do now.
@jacbosmitt Жыл бұрын
Mine did the same. It feels like it is still held in securely by the thin metal guard so I am going to leave it now. If it causes future issues I will probably just bypass it. Have you found a solution for yours? You can order replacement bolts from RMATV for about 35 USD

Near impossible to intentionally roll that socket down the drain, by accident, highly likely.

Exactly.

Is the side stand supposed to have play in it or did I miss something on install? A large part of me would be grateful if you said it is because that spring…oh man.
@Bob-xy6gt2 жыл бұрын
Curious if you’ve ever tried this or heard of anyone doing this with the OEM center stand installed, theres almost no clearance to the bolt which makes it impossible to get enough leverage to break. Completely stuck and dreading the thought of having to remove the center stand to do this
@mpwicks2 жыл бұрын
+1, same question here
@Bob-xy6gt2 жыл бұрын
@@mpwicks Oh oddly enough I'm in the process of doing this right now. I'm doing this while the bike is on the center stand and had to remove a bolt from the center stand hinge to make room. It's a bit annoying, but definitely possible.
@mpwicks2 жыл бұрын
@@Bob-xy6gt I just did mine as well! I ended up pulling the center stand itself off and removing enough bolts on the clutch side bracket that I could rotate it out of the way of the 10mm hex head bolts. This wasn’t easy in my case because one of the bolts in the clutch side center stand bracket feels like it was welded in! I ratchet strapped bike to a couple of mounting points in the garage and pushed the front wheel against a wall to keep it upright. Anyway it’s done, thankfully. Glad you had success too!

Are you serious? Buy a add on plate 8.99$ to bottom of kickstand adds over quarter Inch. Then go to hardware store get heavy spring 5.99$ done easy under 10 minutes

Do you have a good source for ss bolts screws in Canada?

Blackfoot Industrial Supply is who we use. I believe you're west coast though(?). There should be countless well stock suppliers in the lower mainland.

Does the stand have a small bit if lateral play? Before spring is on?
@downbytheriver501 Жыл бұрын
That’s what I’m wondering. Just installed mine and deleted the kill switch on the kickstand and it appears to have some play

Just wondering. Why does the spring need to be beefier?
@xtina8183 жыл бұрын
Going over bumpy ground or jumps the side stand can spring down and cut out the motor. Stronger spring stops it from doing that. My drz would do this and cut my motor on whoops
@CamelADV3 жыл бұрын
The stock spring is barely enough for the stock side stand. As mentioned by Xt, if the side stand bounces down over rough terrain, it'll trigger the side stand switch and kill the motor... less than ideal.
@dfj555Ай бұрын
Mickey Mouse Part. Wrong spring, safety switch bracket doesn't fit, rubs on the stand, how it lands, etc. I'll pass.
