I just installed one of these last week and I must say it's very well made and also it made a huge difference when I ride with my 12 boots thought I might cut the tip as you did as well. Well spent money.

Yah probably a little bit but as ya probably know, if you go too low the damn thing won't change down the gears.

at 3:58 a small piece of a rubber hose falls out from this whole kickstand/shift lever assembly, where the heck does it go? I can't find any place it fits...

Nicecnc makes quite a bit of parts for all kinds of bikes. I have a couple guards for the KLR and an aux dash plate. I'm thinking of getting the rear rack next. Maybe a kickstand too. Most products come in different colors👌 the KLR lever doesn't add any horsepower😕😆

On my Husky 701 I have an aftermarket rear brake pedal from Vanashe and a similar shift lever from Hammerhead, both of whom are in the US. The shift lever is custom supplied to your boot size and works a treat. Both items are heavy duty and much stronger than the OEM parts. No issues with either after many, many miles. 👍

🤷‍♂️how far out do we want the tip? My T7 goes bruuuum clunk and it shifts up and brum clunk brum clunk as I shift down. Not worried how it looks I can’t see the fucking thing.

Took your video on board, ordered the lever and it turned up in about a week or so. My bike is fitted with the centre stand, that complicated the fitting somewhat but not impossible. Nice bit of kit indeed. 👌👍

I don't mean any disrespect here at all Josh but just my 2 cents after working in this biz for a little while... Now I'm not saying this WILL break, but it's just another Ali Baba product out of China, like we see with a few other brands that 'come' out of Australia. Yeah price point is cool and all and if you are on a budget, sure, but I wouldn't bet on this holding up compared to your more premium options (not that there really is many other options out there). Some of these products will work well but not sure if I'd feel real comfortable with some of their components that perform a critical function, but who knows, I'm happy to be proven wrong. Again, I work VERY closely with companies that do the same thing just with a different name slapped on it and the amount of issues is ABSURD. Safe riding Josh, I hope this lasts and if I ever see you out on the trails maybe I can change your mind.

My swmotech shifter is super wobblyafter 30,000 miles. But oem is too short for size 13. Thinking of trying nicecnc. I like steel cuz you can bend it back.

This is a fantastic lever, if it has not been covered make sure to disassemble the rod end and loctite as well, mine came loose and broke at a 1000 miles, customer service was awesome and took care of it even though I felt partially to blame for not loctiting myself. It is not a cheap part, they just do not loctite from the factory.

I actually did disassemble mine before installing, expecting it to not be loctited but it was 🤷‍♂️

@@MVDBR I just wanted others to be aware to check, mine was not, I was able to unthread the broke end by hand. They did send a full replacement unit even though I just asked to buy a rod end, it is a solid product as is the rest of their inventory. Shipping is right around 2 weeks. Thanks for posting!
