Have to agree that it is a horrible horrible experience when I can't eat what I ordered because Hera is in my base with Light Cav and Arbalest. T90 has really taken his 71% coaching responsibility to the next lever and turned Hera into a superstar raider.

24:22 - You could have stopped the castle if he had researched ''Hillforts'' UT (One of my favourite). But he didn't, sometimes the pros have such a 2D mindset because they believe a certain tech is useless even when it could have brought them victory. 2 minutes into the final game: Okay, Gulam vs predictable boring Hera and his archers + Castle on the enormous mountain on the left. 30 minutes later: WTF? Yo, are you lacking in cognitive functions?

I think that a huge part of the Gurjaras is that there's nothing you can beat them with in castle age. They have probably the best counter archer from the stable, the best counter cavalry from the stable, and the best counter infantry from the castle. That would be fine except for that they have amazing early bonuses as well, so it's like... When can you beat them?

their armored elephants also melt every building with +50% bonus damage. +75 to buildings (110 with the 50% attack bonus) vs the battering ram's 125, but they attack twice as fast and only cost food and are tankier against arrowfire than a regular battering ram. There's very little you can do to stop gurjaras if they have like, 4-6 armored elephants alongside their main army. Not to mention that they become even cheaper with their unique tech. EDIT: Gurjaras armored elephants do 25% more damage than a capped ram while having the same amount of health (20 more if you get bloodlines), and only do 5% less damage than a siege ram. Not only this but without husbandry (which Gurjaras get), they move faster than battering and capped rams and move just as fast as a siege ram. This is a castle age unit which you don't need food heavy techs to get into, the techs that give them upgrades you're probably already getting anyways. These things are literally siege rams in castle age, and they produce faster than normal rams as well, over 10% faster. They are so absolutely insane, especially in team games.

I've been watching you for the past 3 years, I love your content but I have a suggestion: Please put up a more detailed stats overlay. I spent all feudal watching 0 on the Relics count while I was wondering how much was the Eco K/D. Just 3 columns will never cut it, I think you need to put up the standard overlay that includes all the main stats (same as MembTV, DaveAOE, etc.)

Castle age HC + mangos + agro = win against Aztecs. Also you have the BEST anti-archer unit in the game called Ghulam and you don't make them against archer civ... BS beyond belief, excellent micro, but so questionable decision making...

But honestly booming into houfnice + champions + arbs would have been impossible to handle for aztecs. houfnice have 13 range after SE and they deal a ton of damage to any composition.With champions and arbs to protect them there is no way hera could have managed that. Also trash monks would have been a great way to deal with enemy monks in the late game. In my opinion the civ match up favored Yo but he made the wrong decisions.

African ,Mezzo, Civs that do not gain access to Good cavalry,nor gunpowder,nor elephants and a weak navy should instead receive strong bonuses for their infantry, villagers and trash. African and mezzo civs should only have canoe navies. Able to fire arrows ,fast ,agile and only using 0.5 pop space but they don't have access to Gally line, nor cannon. Gallons. All canoes can carry/transport 3-5 units and are trained twice as fast as regular ships. Don’t have access to fire ships but get fire canoes that shoot fat covered fire arrows (Fat burns intensely hot). Tech in dock:Fat covered fire arrows - +3 attack to canoes. Canoes transporting skirmishers gain added pierce armour,attack and range. Canoe upgrades are half the cost of regular ship upgrades and come in immediately when you research them. Give the imperial Skirmisher Team bonus (Vietnamese) to a Sub Sahara African civ (Shona people). Sub Sahara African civs get African huts as Dark age houses. (Already in game.) Saracen + Berber+Turks + Kurds dark age houses should be Berber tents (Already in game.) Lithuanians ‘’Skirmishers and spearmen move 10% faster’’ bonus should go to a new Mapuches/Tarascans civ that forms part of a New DLC. And the (Spearman-line and Skirmishers +2P armour) should go to the Zaputechs. In turn Lithuanians towershields tech applies to their crossbows and their sword line. . Dravidians I would love to see the Dravidian ‘’Skirmishers attack 25% faster’’ bonus go to a new Mapuches/Tarascans civ that forms part of a New DLC Tribes of the Tropics DLC Taíno/Arawak peoples / Carib kingdom/Tupi Zaputechs Mapuches/Tarascans. Toltecs Polynesians/ Tuʻi Tonga Empire. In turn the Dravidian Urumi gains the ability to build/repair docks and faster firing BBC/hand cannoneers. Burmese. +1 attack per age for infantry bonus should go to Byzantines and instead Burmese gets Elephant archers that are also cheaper. (Strong expensive Battle elephants and Cheap elephant archers) Gurjaras. Nerf Gurjaras by giving their ‘’Can garrison fishing ships in Dock’’ ability to an Africa/Messo civ team bonus that only has canoe navies. Songhai Team bonus: Africa/Messo civs with canoe navies Can garrison fishing ships in Dock. I love the Gurjaras especially their Shrivamshra riders, they are built to counter the boring, repetitive archer metta of a lot of ''pros''. Inca Should gain a UU in archery range : Quechua Bolas Warrior (Shared unit with the Mapuches) Quechua ranged infantry that hurls bolas for a wide area of effect. The bola slows down/ensnares enemies and does slight area damage (mostly against archers). Good against cavalry. Receives a free Chasqui each age. Chasqui - Inca scout with a great deal of utility. Can build outposts. When attacking, the Chasqui uses its quipu as a weapon.

Yo's decision making has been pretty poor lately. Having the commanding lead in game 3 and then losing because he was going for every option simultaneously. He also went for CA vs mongols vs Hera in their best of 21, and did the same "what do I make, I have so many options" in his Japanese vs Burmese matchup on 4 lakes in their best of 21, which is heavily favored for the Japanese, and lost that too.

The following is a small rant about a small thing I often see in chat - Some might even call this nitpicking. This has always bothered me; there is no such thing as an XBOW unit in this game. It does not exist. There is just Archer, CROSSBOW, and Arbalester. Both Crossbow and Arbalester do NOT use an XBOW. An xbow is a crossbow with TWO TENSION ARMS that make an 'X' that is flattened at the front of the weapon. The crossbowman and Arbalesters do NOT use an xbow they use a SINGLE TENSION ARM crossbow that "crosses" perpendicular to the aiming line from shoulder to arrowhead. I used to just ignore it when people in chat said "Xbow", but it's been years now and it's become such a sickening pet peeve of mine watching AOE2 when I see someone use "Xbow" to describe Crossbowman or Arbalesters. GET IT RIGHT PEOPLE (RickyPig and John Kinch I'm directing this right at you for multiple uses of this >_> )

Yea man I like can't watch gurjaras games. It shouldn't be in the game. Hindustanis are too strong and should be strongly nerfed but it doesn't seem like something that makes you automatically win. Gurjaras really just seem like an auto win. I don't wanna see this game go down the same path as league of legends.

Complaining about Hindustanis is getting old, especially considering they aren't better than Chinese. This is like complaining about milk but still eating cheese every day. Why aren't u complaining about Chinese, the number 1 civ? Why aren't u asking for Chinese nerfs?

Hindustanis and Gurjaras are new so they shook up the meta more, hence more reaction. Plus hindustanis are kind of easy mode at all elos, at least Chinese and gurjaras have tricky starts

@@bedwarssimple7615 Yep, a pro can almost always get a free +2 vill lead+ loom. Not to mention chinese can answer everything with their ridiculous tech tree. This isnt all either, chinese also get cheaper techs. Pro's don't pick chinese as their first pick on arabia because they aren't used to gurjaras, they pick chinese because they are inSANE.
