I started watching T90 because I needed to burn some time, he became great background noise, but low elo legends held my attention and made me want to play. I've got like less than 15 games but I'm winning at about 700 elo because of all the knowledge I've gotten watching this series lol. I never cut straggler trees never trickle treb and I get techs and i do okay lol

I am a 80 year old father, probably one of the oldest people watching this channel. I am a single father to my son, who is now 14. My son recently started watching T90 and in less than a week, he had already watched for over 20 hours. This was terrible for me, as it was already hard enough for me to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching videos on Tiktok. So I decided to make a youtube account and subscribe to this channel to see if I could maybe watch alongside him. I loaded into the youtube, watched a tutorial but I was stuck on what you where supposed to do. I asked my Son for help and he loaded a video for me to watch. I loved it as it was the best time I had spent with my Son since my wife had died. This youtube channel has ever since brought my son and I closer again and now we actually spend time together outside the house as well. This video reminded me that there's fun to be had in everything, and it has brought both me and my Son many happy memories, like the petards blowing up the wall and blue's walling techniques.

With all the noobs that get suckered into researching Heated Shot, I'm beginning to think it should just have a bonus that is actually generally applicable, even if very small. Something like giving your castle/tower fire +1 bonus damage vs. Siege. After all, isn't the logic that you're attacking something wooden, so heating the shot can help set it on fire? Well, Siege is made of wood, so you could reason it might help there, too.

Sometimes I think about finally trying MP in AoE2, and I actually hope that if I do, I'll be low ELO so I can actually have fun with weird builds and trying to keep my towns pretty instead of the rush and anxiety of crazy games.

Troll strat: No blacksmith upgrades until 1:09 like oozhover. And other things like No eco upgrades until the age after. Have to build some amount of every type of unit. Have to lose some amount of units in the corners of the maps. Have to have more idle T.C. time than the opponent. etc.

I have used the maze strat in campaign games. It makes some levels extremely easy when the AI runs their army through.

Good that u enabled the big trees - it adds into that low elo strategy :D Back in days i used to sneak vills between trees and best spot for tower rush was behind big treeline bcs those was almost taller that tower itself :D

I've made to this point (44:26), taking some mad notes..... Such as, "Cav archer are a feasible long term solutions for taking down stone walls..." This is a great Low Elo Legends, thanks for the upload T90!!!

It was nice. I think red lack of reactiveness, aggressiveness and micro hurt their game a ton. When the first scout revealed a ton Red barely used all that information. Then they kept sending scouts in a single direction and it wasn't until half a dozen died (I mean maybe less but stil) that they stopped. Then when the first petards opened a hole they didn't send their cavalry to do anything about it, yet they sent a villager that could have died before filling it if Blue decided to. When the villager filled the hole Red didn't send her back but left her there to be killed. When their castle was attacked by trebs they took a long time to react and when they did they killed Blue's trebs with the cavaliers and were in a fight they could win without issues, but decided to run back to their base because skirmishers are scary for britons (not for briton cavaliers though). Then they took all their cavaliers to a fight they could control due to teuton knights being extra slow and lost them all. They also had villagers in an unexpected spot for Blue and decided to use them to build houses. Overall, I think Red built a lot of cavalry that they could have used in many different ways and didn't use it at all until he was being attacked. Their cavalry archers were completely wasted too. Red's military production was nice, but didn't use it. Blue military production was all over the place, but they did use it. I was kinda rooting for Red but I also was expecting them to mess up on the military side of things, because I have also messed that up before. Not THAT badly though.

I love LEL it's my favourite series of yours as I'm not good at the game at all. Last played online in 2004 or so and have played against AI off and on over the years since but just kind of lost interest. Discovered your videos a couple years ago and been enjoying watching and just picked DE up two nights ago on sale for like 7$ US on steam. Need to do some studying to get better but still nice to know even us unskilled players can still have fun online. Maybe I'll jump into the online play after reacquainting myself with the game.

36:05 I think it is an anti-ram strat. When you put one wall right behind another, the ram could damage both, so space it out. Also spacing out gates for redundant walls makes it so an enemy unit is less likely to slip through. Edit: Nevermind, it's just a choke point like you were guessing.

I've mostly only played against the computer and I'll usually build maze/tunnels like that for the computer to walk through. Or leave a strategic gap in my wall for them to march to their deaths. Works like a charm

It surprises me that it's even possible to have Elo this low. You need to play enough games for your Elo to drop, but not learn enough in all of those games to settle on an Elo above 300. Honestly, these players don't look that bad (they're not _good_ but they don't look like they're 700 Elo points behind me).
