Where would we be without Fluke Friday to look forward to. The thing that always amazes me is the accuracy of all these fluke meters and scopes despite there ages. Really interested history of Fluke products shown in each of these episodes. Tony you have produced a series of video's covering a large range of Fluke products which you have demonstrated in a in depth but interesting way that must me be a first for KZbin. Well Done !

Back in the early nineties I drooled over the 97 scopemeter. Well I finally got one and haven't quit adding to the collection. In fact your collection matches mine pretty good.. I've got two 97's, a 124B and a 190-204 with a 2.5g sample rate.
@TonyAlbus Жыл бұрын
Wow that are very nice scopes.. happy collecting!..
@howlinhog Жыл бұрын
@@TonyAlbus I wouldn't call myself a collector. I'm a professional mobile tech and they just represent stuff that has collected. LOL. The 190-204 came before the 124B, and while the 190 series scope is an awesome powerful scope, there are times when it becomes a space issue and just how much I can carry in one trip. I only just got the 124B lately. It fits in my Milwaukee packout system pretty good (the 190 will not fit) and replaces the 97V meter while adding the scope function. I have a 4 channel pico scope that is awesome, but more of a hassle than any of them.

@@howlinhog Great tools to work with, thanks for sharing... the size of the 124B is very good for portable.

Sometime I'm telling to me, I'm probably sick to have so much equipment I should see a doctor, my wife agree. And I check Tony with his attic full of stuff and I'm felling fixed. Thank you :) Keep going!

Another interesting Fluke Friday, Tony! The calibration dates on the 192 look like default dates - someone may have started the cal routine and aborted it corrupting the cal values. You might try recalibration to see if that corrects the problem with the scope as well. I used a 199C color scopemeter at work - also a nice instrument. Regards, David

Thank you David, i am indeed going to try that. Great info! the 199c looks even better, its newer too, very nice

It likely the C ASICS under the metal shielding on both channels. Unfortunately is a common issue with them. If you get no clicks from frontend relays when you turn on channels it more then definitely a bad C ASICS. Also if you get only one channel working and other doesn’t, or both. There are one C ASIC per channel and a lot of times both are bad. If you replace them you have to do a full calibration and the cost of a replacement C-ASIC which is a NXP OQ0260HL are ridiculously overpriced at $375 each greedy sellers are asking. You better off buying a donor with working C ASICS which is what they do and they pull the chips of working Scopemeters that use the later NXP OQ0260HL chips.

The C ASICS likely are bad on the 192. Dead giveaway is no sounds from relays and of course you can turn on channels, or missing parts of signal if input does turn on. I fixed quite a few of them over the years and unfortunately is a common issue? Now I may soon have a good main board with C ASICS that are working as bought a donor one for that model as fixing one of mine’s and bought a donor one to get the outer case, power Jack and the original accessories look like probes, hard case and original adapter off of. The ASICS are suppose to work as seller claimed both scope inputs were working a month ago and then meter stopped powering on and reason it was sold for parts? Once receive it going to repair board and check the C ASICS as currently doing a video of mines. I currently working on one to make a good condition one and using other as parts. I likely sell the rest of parts off to recoup the money back and repair the main board so power up and check the C ASICS and inputs to make sure it works. The one repairing which keeping works so don’t need the main board, was dropped and DC Jack broke and someone removed hacked it and casing cracked and broke the posts. The display can be fix as sending mines out and they replace the horizontal flex cable. They don’t just reheat the glue from what they told me, only issue is $199 bucks to replace that flex, but would be a permanent fix and they don’t care if the cable is damaged as they claim they can replace it, so long the LCD itself is good. Hoping the other one may have a good LCD but doubtful as another common issue, but thankfully that problem is repairable just costly.

How do i get my 123b to record AC. The meter shows 24v AC for what im testing but when i select record it changes to DC and can not figure out how to get it to show the AC sine wave while recording

The 123 will you show the last function as littel number below the main Funktion. Example if like to get Hz below of AC. Frist choose Hz than AC to get AC in main an Hz in secondary.
