We(my family and cousins) migrated from WhatsApp to Signal. I use Signal, Telegram, Twitter, Reddit for my social media. It's doable. I have felt that instant gratification thing and the urge that it creates. Suddenly i started applying/expecting that in aspect in my life. Say, oru pudhu friend, back then text pani insta vangi, adhula photo vangi apram number vangi etc etc Now we are all in a situation to make an impression in the first few minutes. That is when i realized i am losing the aspect of "porumai" aka patience or perseverance. Andha time la i found an app called "slowly" (which made me realize this whole thing). That is a letter app. I can send anyone a letter in the app, digitally.. but the letter takes time to reach. Germany la iruka oruthar ku if i wrote, it'll take 8 hours for the letter to reach and avanga adha paathu if they reply, it'll reach me in 8 hours. So, that really taught me the patience back when i tried the app. We started losing the patience which is preventing us from investing time long term like books.. andha book eh enaku 10 mins la summary venum. The art cinema is boring because we're looking for this gratification every 5 mins in cinema too. 3 hours spend pani last vara wholesome confusion, sorrowness, happiness ku wait panra porumai illa. Yen indha comment eh fulla padikra porumai irukadhu mostly 😂 This whole thing is making us realise, we need to slow down the world.
