പിന്നീട് പുറത്തുവന്നത് 20 കോടി രൂപയുടെ വൻ തട്ടിപ്പിനെക്കുറിച്ചാണ്. മണപ്പുറം ഫിനാൻസിന് കീഴിലെ സ്ഥാപനത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വിവിധ കാലയളവിലായി ധന്യാ മോഹൻ കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളുടെ അക്കൗണ്ടിലേയ്ക്ക് പണം മാറ്റുകയായിരുന്നു. സംഭവത്തിൽ കേസെടുത്തതിന് പിന്നാലെ യുവതി കൊല്ലം ഈസ്റ്റ് പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ കീഴടങ്ങി.
