There is no doubt sir's explanation is very convincing in all aspects. He is definitely an economic expert. One thing is always confusing me. Sir says realestate is not doing good. But if we see the reasestate prices in Coimbatore, it appreciated 5 to 6 times in last 5 years. It is increasing day by day exponentially. I am confused about buying a residential land. One important thing is, realestate developer i enquired accepts check only for the guideline value and remainig value should be paid in cash only. is this accpeptable? any one guide me on my confusion. Is it the common practice in realestate?

These are the measures the federal reserve uses to control inflation. For instance, when economy inflates it means there is too much money in circulation. The fed will then increase the "Federal Funds Rate" to encourage the commercial banks to move their funds to Fed reserve. This will reduce money in circulation (and so the banks will not be able lend as much loans as before) which in turn reduces economic expansion & inflation. There are other rates such as "Discount rate", "Reverse repo rate" etc

Few stocks you suggest to avoid also perform tremendously well. Ex: Zomato.
