After a lengthy time away, with Covid-19 and one thing and another getting in his way, Oz is finally back with another vlog! This one sees him reflect back on almost 12 months worth of angling, which saw him land not only a UK forty but a UK fifty as well. Mega catch up Oz and I hope your well. Really looking forward to the upcoming year with your Vlogs. As a former soldier, preparation is everything. I was wondering how you prepared to angle after lockdown. Did you approach it like the old closed season because it wasn't that dissimilar? Thanks again Oz and good luck for the upcoming year

Hi mate, all good thank you ...yes that’s exactly how it was! Just got everything cleaned down, re-stowed and prepped up with all the enthusiasm of that old close season anticipation, even rolled some extra corkball hookbaits ... it’s usually a job for the depths of winter but most of us had a fair bit of time on our hands this spring aye! Just like you I imagine, I like to be organised and efficient with my kit 👍 cheers for the message ... regards Oz

Good see you back on the bank Oz looking forward to all your new content! already had some cracking fish after lockdown! Got a question for you if you don't mind? I'm fishing a syndicate and the owner of the syndicate has just put in loads of that blue dye!!! Few weeks later he said he put to much dye in the lake!!!! From the time the dye has gone it's knocked the fishing on the head!!! Hook baits are coming back what was white now a blue colour!!! Do you have any recommendations that I could give ago please???? I don't have social media other then KZbin!! If you could get back to me I'd be well grateful! Many thanks Marcus 🎣

Hi Marcus It does seem a bit of a trend that the dye can disrupt the fishing for a short while once introduced but usually not too bad or for long from what I hear. I’ve not fished a lake with it in so I’ve no first hand experience but it is non toxic food colouring essentially so has no adverse effects on fish or other pond life of course. The sheer amount may have had and effect as is clear from your message, but generally it’s only if the dye suppresses the light and the existing weed growth/algae dies off quick and starts rotting on the lake bed that usually effects the bottom fishing. Maybe try zigs or a pop up straight off the lead and see if you get a reaction? I’m sure it will settle down soon mate. Best of luck with it👍
